User reviews Solid, 2008-12-22 The case fits nicely. It makes the G1 feel solid and durable. The only two cons I found are that it makes the camera button and usb port difficult to access. Even with that, it is a must have for the G1. Cheap plastic cover, 2008-12-22 This seemed like the most economical and protective case for the G1 phone out there and I was definitely under the wrong impression. The moment I received this case I realized that I had made a mistake. The case does not snap snugly onto the phone itself. It is hardly a natural fit although it does stay on the phone (for a couple of days in my case). Unhappy with the fit of my case I left it on for several days and inadvertently put the case to its first test, the drop. I dropped my phone in an elevator and the case to its first opportunity to burst into the three pieces it came in a scatter all over the floor. The case did not protect my phone from the fall and I was left with a mess of plastic pieces. I had a good three days with this case. Do not waste your money on this product. I have yet to replace the case so when I find a good when I will let you all know. Mediocre, 2008-12-16 This thing does what it's supposed to, but I decided I didn't like it after a week. The case is so big, it's even more difficult to fit the phone in your pocket now, and it doesn't fit in the protective sleeve. Nice Case, 2008-11-22 Case has a soft rubber grip lining to it. Its not too grippy, so it doesn't get stuck in your pocket, but have a good feel in your hands so it won't slip out. No, the screen is not covered, but I got a plastic screen protector, cut it larger than the screen, and put this case over it to cover all the edges and its a solid protection. My brother, who has an iPhone is jealous of this case! Hah. The most useless accessory I have purchased for the G1, 2008-11-16 The description makes this sound like it will be a hardcover that can be used to cover up and protect the screen. WRONG! The full hardcover is for the back of the phone - which really does not need protecting. The "screen cover" is just an outer edge shell that may protect the screen if the G1 has a flat object dropped on it - but anything smaller than the screen can still hurt the screen.
Also, this was so cheap it when I snapped it on the three pieces would not stay snapped in place.
Poor design, poor functionality, cheap plastic (oh, and a REALLY BIG clip that looks like it was made to clip and hold a massive amount of weight - downside - it is REALLY BIG and is VERY uncomfortable to wear.
I'm sticking with the leather case I ordered and will keep my G1 in it whenever I'm not using it - much better protection than this product.
