User reviews decent hardwre, awful software, 2008-12-20 There isn't much to say about the cable, it works fine, connects the Rumor to my computer with no problems.
That said once connected there isn't any software on the cd that arrived with it that is in any way useful for accessing the phone (ie. drivers or software suite). With a little searching online you can find the drivers, however, since the phone is cdma it is almost certainly locked to your carrier and many function are inaccessible. No complaints, 2008-10-16 Works as advertised.
Probably not essential, but good to have around just in case. (I personally used mine to turn my phone into an impromptu thumbdrive after misplacing my normal thumbdrive, so it has saved me at least once)
Gave it three stars because it becomes a little bit superfluous if you have access to a computer with a memory card reader. Now that I think about it, it's probably closer to 4 stars, but I don't know how to change my rating at this point... Satisfied Customer, 2008-10-07 This cable works great on the Rumor. It was alot cheeper than buying it from Sprint. WARNING!!! DO NOT USE IF YOU WANT YOUR PHONE TO KEEP WORKING!!!, 2008-09-28 Hello, wish I had read these reviews before buying this product. You know how sometimes you read disclaimers saying, we're not responsible for accessories used with our products not authorized by our company? That's what you need to consider when using this "chinese made" product for your LG Rumor phone. The part that plugs in to the phone jack is very unstable, does not plug in properly, and ruined my "charging capability" on my phone, thus causing it to be inoperable. Very frustrating, and now I have to spend $100 to trade in for a new phone. I didn't even want to get this but my wife insisted saying I could transfer tunes to my phone. Big whoop, that's what I have a PSP for. Ohh well, I learned my lesson, thank God I don't have to spend $250 on a new I Phone or something.
Buyer beware! Don't buy and use this product. You'll be sorry!!! WRONG usb data cable for LG LX260 (rumor), 2008-09-10 The cable I received does NOT work with my phone!
