User reviews Go for the Bluetooth Adapter Instead, 2008-11-21 There's nothing particularly wrong with this cable. It transfers data just fine at a decent rate provided that your operating system supports it. However, you'd be very hard pressed to find drivers that work in 64-bit operating systems.
This cable also works as a power adapter.
As an alternative to people who do run a 64-bit operating system, spend about $30 on a simple USB bluetooth adapter. Modern Windows OSes have built-in bluetooth drivers or you can easily find them on the manufacturer website. I believe Toshiba makes a bluetooth driver that works for many devices even if they are not Toshiba. With the Bluetooth adapter, you can use an open source program called BitPim (available on sourceforge) to transfer all of your ringtones and contacts and what not. You don't need specific drivers for your particular phone. Pretty good., 2008-06-19 The product was like it said, a USB cable and the disk. Theres good things, and bad things. The shipping was very fast, pleased about that. the CD driver was for the wrong phone, and so I asked the company, and it was ok, it still worked with my phone. Bad thing was the USB cable came broken, so I emailed them, and they sent me a brand new USB cable, free of charge, great job guys, DIDN'T WORK FOR LG8550(new chocolate)!!!!!!, 2008-02-20 I bought this product last week and was expecting it to work for my new chocolate. The driver did not have the lg 8550 version of the chocolate, there for it would not sync. Thank you for wasting my money. Cable works well, 2007-12-21 Cable works well. I can sync my phone with no problem. The driver is not much to praise about. I had to still download the driver from cnet. Bad product. Does not work., 2007-11-16 Not only does the cable NOT work. It heats up very quickly as I plug it in to my computer. The driver software setup menu does not include VX8500 as described. I want my money back.
