User reviews Was Doubtful , 2008-10-26 Took out of a zip baggie(the battery came in) and inserted into my phone.I didn't use the phone until the battery recieved a complete charge.
Turned on the phone and 4 bars changed to one BAR!!!
Made a phone call..Call lasted 4 mins..Decided to charge again and again..Short talktimes again.
After 8 or more un disturbed charges and 3 days, the battery seems to have come to life and is now sustaining a 2 hour talktime..Bar still quickly falls from 4 bars to 2 bars,,though..
The battery is under 5 dollars and should remain under 5 dollars.
Shouldn't take 3 or more days just to get a 2 hour talktime charge. Issue with the problems., 2008-10-21 If your having trouble with this type of battery here is the problem. You've probably got this battery that was made by Korea. Those are horrible, heats up too fast and will not last.
You want to make sure it was made in Japan. If not, send it back and get either the 'made in Japan' one or get your money back.
My first one could hold a charge. Heated up and will not hold energy.
So, I got my 'Japan' one from an old phone that I totally forgot in my car for a year. Beyond not being used and the heat the in car(Southern California), this battery still work and worked well.
GET the 'made in JAPAN' version.
Don't know if you have a defective one, do the battery test.
Take it out of the cellphone, put it on a smooth flat surface and then spin it. If it continuously spin, it's defective. The defective one heated up and caused it to plump.
If it spins for a very short time, it's good. LG Battery - a bargain, 2008-10-21 Price for this battery (exact) at Verizon was $38.95 plus tax. I paid 80% less, good delivery and no tax and my phone is as good as new. COMPLETE JUNK - a wast of time!, 2008-08-29 This is total junk. The date code on the battery that Amazon sent me was OLDER than the one that I was replacing! It worked more poorly than the battery that I was replacing! I had to go to my Verizon store to get a NEW one with this month's date code.
Amazon, WHY would you do this? It dumps your credibility into the crapper!
cell phone battery, 2008-08-25 I received the battery fast by usps it already had a full charge so it was ready to go. The battery is as good as the orignal in holding a charge.
