Motorola Battery Li-Ion Extended and Dark Pearl Gray Door (K1m) for Motorola KRZR-K1m Fire

Great price from eBay
User reviews Motorola KRZR K1m Extended Battery, 2008-11-16 This battery is probably the best cell phone battery I've ever owned. With the exception of its thickness, which alters the overall look of the Krzr, it does everything that I need it to do: last an entire conversation.
I work in a lab with very poor reception. This usually drains the battery faster than being in an area with good coverage. My old standard battery would barely last a day in this environment. The new extended battery allows me to talk my share of minutes (which isn't much, but works for me), and only asks to be recharged once a week! I know that if I worked in a place with better coverage, I would probably get 2 weeks out of this baby.
Like I said before, it alters the overall shape of the phone, which is supposed to be slim. It also adds weight, but not really enough to make any significant difference over the original battery (adds maybe 20% mass). I received the 1640 mAh version, made on April 6, 2006, cell origin Japan, finished in China. This is as advertised. I would have wanted to know the cell manufacture date before purchase, as it is actually older than my original battery's cell. However, the performance on this ol' phone (2 years now) mitigates that. It would be interesting to know how it would perform when new!
Save yourself $60 from purchasing this battery at a Verizon store. Buy it here! Worthless, 2008-11-12 Buying this battery was probably the worst electronics purchase of my life. This new battery worked great for a few weeks. And then my phone died. Not only would the battery not charge, but the phone wouldn't turn on even when it was plugged into the wall.
Look. You can buy a whole new phone for just a little more than the cost of this battery. Go do it.
I swear, I will never buy another Motorola phone ever again. Was Wondering, 2008-10-24 When we first got this the charge did not last much longer than the origianl battery however as time wore on it got ALOT better and we are VERY pleased with it. Make sure you charge for 24 hours the first time. My Dad loves this battery!!!, 2008-10-06 My dad loves to talk, so he loves that I now have a battery that can keep up with him!!! Seriously--I don't talk that much but I can go two weeks per charge, without worrying that a 1 minute conversation will be cut short!!! And those 1 hour calls from dad, well, he is my dad so....it's okay I still have plenty of battery left after the call...And it is a real motorola, fits the phone fine, I actually like it better, it's easier to hold now. Awesome battery, 2008-09-14 This battery is great. I should have bought this a long long time ago. I get over 1 week of battery life out of a single charge - that includes talking on the phone every day.
