Product description

Who says you can't have fun with a business phone? The Nokia N73 smartphone packs the latest Symbian S60 software--ideal for business applications--as well as a handy 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, and an advanced music player--perfect for when it's time to let your hair down. Other key features packed into its thin, bar form factor include quad-band GSM capabilities with EDGE data, a QVGA display, and a miniSD memory card slot. The Nokia N73 is the perfect solution for when you need a powerful phone for business and pleasure.

Take your music with you, thanks to the N73's powerful digital audio player.
Design
The first thing you'll notice about the N73 is its active matrix display. With an adjustable display brightness feature, and support for up to 262,144 colors within 240 x 320 pixels, it's perfect for viewing documents, images, and Web pages. A high-quality handsfree speakerphone allows for conference calls and multitasking (combining voice calls with calendar viewing, SMS, and email), while the XHTML browser allows for convenient Internet use. The N73 sports a user-friendly and intuitive interface while maintaining a small, slim, and sleek design.

The N73's user interface revolves around two soft keys with a five-way scroll. The two soft keys can be programmed for shortcut access to features like the calendar application, the camera mode, Bluetooth wireless connection, or other useful applications.

Calling Features
The N73 sports advanced voice features that are especially useful for heavy phone users--at home or at work. Key calling features include voice dialing and voice command--both great features for when you're on the road and need to access phone menus or phone numbers while keeping both hands on the wheel--as well as Nokia PoC (push to talk), a convenient business feature that keeps you in touch with a simple push of a button. The N73 also features an advanced contacts database with support for multiple device and email details per entry while a call log keeps lists of your dialed, received, and missed calls. The N73 brings select desk phone functions to your mobile phone including call forwarding, holding, conference calls, and more.

The handy 3.2 megapixel camera features Carl Zeiss optics.
Messaging, Internet, and Tools
If needs be, the N73 can be a business workhorse. The N73 also comes stock with support for leading push email clients, giving you easy email access in real time. There's even an XHTML browser for convenient Internet viewing, and you'll be able to load pages fast with the N73's EDGE data compatibility.

Connectivity with compatible PCs and supported devices is simple and easy with the N73's infrared, Bluetooth wireless technology, and USB cable compatibility. Other built-in tools include an organizer feature that includes contacts with images, a calendar with an accept/reject function for meeting requests, and to-do list. There's also a built-in office application viewer for documents such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel attachments (Microsoft Office, 2000, XP and 2003). The N73 even sports a unique feature that allows you to search for files or content (including messages, emails, and notes). Lastly, the N73 also comes with the ability to synchronize with Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes--a feature that allows you to have the latest meetings, contacts, and notes on hand.

Imaging and Entertainment
When it's time to take a break from work, a built-in MP3/AAC player, a 3.2 megapixel camera, and a hot-swappable memory card slot offer plenty of opportunities for recreation. And because the N73 supports Java based programs, you can play and enjoy Java based games and applications.

Vital Statistics
The Nokia N73 weighs 4.09 ounces and measures 4.33 x 1.93 x 0.75 inches. Its lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 4.10 hours of digital talk time, and up to 350 hours of digital standby time. It runs on the GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and WCDMA 2100 frequencies. The phone comes with a one year limited warranty.

User reviews

  Good phone, great camera, 2008-08-23
I love the camera, great pic quality, it has a cover so the lens doesn't get scratched, flash is good. The one thing that bothered me at first about the phone is the keyboard. The keys are kinda small, hard to use for someone with big fingers. But I don't regret getting the phone, very happy with it.

  Excelente telefono , 2008-08-18
Muy buen celular, lo compre para usarlo en Colombia y no he tenido ningun problema.

Lo recomiendo.

  OK!, 2008-08-12
I got the same model about a year ago but this time it was not made in china but in switzerland, the original one. I bought it from europe. It was extremely fast in responding and a much pleasant shade of gray that makes it look original. The back also had a better shade more closer to mauve than brown. Other than that its does everything a modern phone does. Very sharp and good camera though with a big image size that works on mac & pc when plugged in as an external drive.

if you need 3g access... beware, 2008-08-11
this is a US version with missing 3g capabilities in other parts of the world. look for one with the RM-133 for a better product.

other than that the phone's great and i had no issues with it

  Superb Phone, 2008-07-28
I just bought this phone to replace my N75. This phone is an excellent phone, if I had known I would've never purchase the N75. I'm about to purchase another N73 just incase something happen to this one I'll have a back up, that's how much I love it. Also I purchase a passport international sim card that's goes along with my phone perfectly fine.
