Noah gets in-depth with T-Mobile's flagship Android phone, the myTouch 3G with Google. Part two of two. Noah gets in-depth with T-Mobile's flagship Android phone, the myTouch 3G with Google. Part one of two. Magenta went all out in San Fran on Saturday with smoking (in the decorative sense) skydivers, corporate break dancers, and lots of balloons to mark the street date of the T-Mobile myTouch 3G with Google. I also spotted some giant "100% YOU" text lingering in the background. It's easy to make fun, but I have to say I would have liked to have been there. Nice weather you're having, BTW.I have to admit that the first thought that crossed my mind... Noah gets T-Mobile's new flagship Android smartphone, the HTC-made myTouch 3G with Google. It comes with a box and a case! Noah goes hands-on with the newest Android phone: T-Mobile's myTouch 3G. Live from breakfast (!) in San Francisco. Hands-on with the T-Mobile myTouch 3G with Google Android phone, and a very cool new Android app: Sherpa from Geodelic. More fodder for the cost-conscious: According to a recent cost comparison from BillShrink.com, the cost of owning a Palm Pre or MyTouch 3G is $1,250 less than AT&T’s iPhone or Verizon’s Moto Droid. To come up with this number, it assumed unlimited voice and data, which of course works out in favor of America’s #3 and #4 carriers. (Actually, the cost savings would probably still bear out for any device they carry.) But... Motivated by the creative comments from our last "Top Five" segment, the idea of creating a new top five list seemed quite appealing (okay, Noah's top five lists were a deciding factor too - always good to have friendly competition, right?). But why stop at a top five phone list? Instead, why not make it carrier based? Wireless devices can differ dramatically from carrier to carrier, so, realizing the importance of this; I... The Sapphire has finally made it's way to the States. Is it worth the wait? What's good: *extremely* customizable - both inside and out, sleek design, excellent touch screen, the "with Google" brand means that it's open and ready for modification. What's bad: no multi-touch, stock Google keyboard not as good as third-party replacements, no camera flash, a little more power would be nice, major software problem out of the gate, the "with... It's an exciting summer for T-Mobile, and if you've managed to keep your aging device despite appealing product launches from other manufacturers, then Magenta may have exactly what you're looking for. Launching today in retail stores and online, the myTouch 3G and the BlackBerry 8520 are available for $199.99 and $129.99 after rebates, respectively. But wait, T-Mobile isn't stopping there. No, there's more - the HTC Touch Pro2 lands... Carrier: T-MobileRetail Price: $399.99 or via ebayContract Price: $199.99 or via Lets TalkHot Features: Google device, 3.2MP camera with one click sharing The release of T-Mobile's myTouch doesn't just mean we G1 owners get new apps (search the Market for "AppPack" and install the T-Mo result to see them all), we get a great new service to compete with one of GV's great features. Visual Voicemail allows you to access your inbox more directly, and, you guessed it, with a visual interface. To get the service, G1 owners will need to convert their data plan from G1 data to the Android unlimited... the my touch is so much better you can costomize and everything The my touch does have a camera? go for the myTouch. the curve doesn't have 3G and the sidekick is ok. the G1 is a Chodey POS (message me if you don't know what a chode is) I'm not an Android fan believe I hate it, but the mytouch looks very nice. Well the my touch 3g just came out and the HTC touch pro 2 wont come out till the 12th. Maybe they're waiting till they are both out for a bit. idk. Yea i'd like to see this. A good fight in one way cause they are the newest phones coming out from tmobile. though they are on different aspects all together....ie one is windows and the other is android.
HMMMM something to think about. What do u guys at phone dog think. Great news letter... tmobile is cheeper than both and has the mytouch thats coming out in a week i would get the mytouch that is being launched for tmobile. its like a g1 2, or g2, if that makes any sense. its not some fancy pants camera but 3.2 MP is pretty good, and you can just roll with a digital camera if you want. it also comes with a pretty cool carrying case and a 4gig micro SD card. i dont like windows mobile phones so unless you have a big business job (witch i doubt you have) i wouldnt get the dash 3G or the much rumored... i really cant decide between the htc touch pro 2 and the mytouch 3g for t-mobile (both phones)
they both have amzing things going for them and stuff against them
touch pro 2= pros: touchflo 3D, physical and soft keyboard, conference call, sleek design
cons: windows mobile (not... ok im on t-mobile and im getting a new phone, but outta these choices i dont know which one i want... any help?
the phones
G1
G2
Sidekick(not the new lx)
Blackberry Curve 8900
if you anwser tell me the ups and downs please
