Check out Motorola's custom Motoblur/Android rich messaging app in this video from DroidDog.com. Hands-on and in-depth with Motorola's first Android efforts: The MotoCliq for T-Mobile and Motoblur, the OS/UI/Service layer that powers Android on Moto. Hands-on with the brand new Motorola Cliq, the first Moto Android phone. Okay, my hands weren't on, but it is a hands-on demo. It'll be called Dext outside of the US. Verizon jumped into the Android game with both feet last Friday, selling the much hyped Motorola Droid and its more-than-capable little Sis, the HTC Droid Eris in stores across the nation. With the US' number one wireless carrier now selling phones built around Google's Android OS, the platform is poised for a big uptick in mass consumer adoption. Heck, AT&T might even start carrying a Google phone before too long.

We want to take you on a... I wonder if it was a successful campaign for T-mobile, permitting Moto Cliq pre-orders for existing customers only. In just four more days, the Droid is dropping on Verizon, so wouldn’t it have behooved them to sell as many of these in advance to as many people as possible? Or maybe it upped the hype, giving it an air of exclusivity. It’s hard to tell this early on, but I’m kind of curious how this worked for them. So did you... The latest Androidy goodness from Tmo, the Motorola CLIQ with MOTOBLUR is available for pre-sale today for existing subscribers. Now through November 1, current customers can order up on the T-mobile site or via phone. The QWERTY slider is being shipped as orders are received, so the sooner you jump on it, the sooner you get. (If you're ordering early, make sure to get your free car charger with your shipment.) Not ready to take the plunge? Or... T-Mobile has just made it official: As anticipated, October 19th is the start day for pre-orders for the Motorola CLIQ with MOTOBLUR. Existing customers who take advantage of the pre-sale period, from October 19 to November 1, will be among the first to get the handsets, since they’ll ship according to orders placed. After that, the CLIQ will be widely available starting November 2. The device costs $199.99 with a two-year contract....
Destined to be one of the most popular handsets of the holiday season, the Motorola CLIQ is the first Android handset that really appeals to me. It looks relatively professional for an Android handset, and marks Motorola's first attempt at a turnaround. Suprisingly, there seems to be a slew of pre-loaded applications on the CLIQ, which were found at the Motorola website. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the page to resize... Well based on the selection you have the Motorola Cliq, which is geared more towards social networking integration. The Behold 2 however, my personal impression of it, it doesn't offer the same ease of use as the Cliq. Samsung added their "TouchWiz" interface to the Behold 2.
I'd reccommend reading some reviews on each to make a more educated purchase. Touch Pro 2 hands down, others you mentioned are not even close in this case u kno i was thinking it was since it has the great software, decent qwerty keyboard, and 3G.
but i heard that the battery is pretty bad...like G1 bad. so im not sure....yet. lol
so...i have t-mobile. i cant decide between the samsung behold 2, the bb 9700, mytouch, htc touchpro 2, and moto cliq.
i use everything (internet, txt, apps) but gps (dont care for that.)
i dont bother having an all touchscreen phone, but i prefer a physical qwerty keyboard.
price doesnt necessarily matter.
can u help me?
so hi there...i am having the same problem as you...i cant decide either...however between... so...i have t-mobile. i cant decide between the samsung behold 2, the bb 9700, mytouch, htc touchpro 2, and moto cliq.

Pros:
1. I have a keyboard!
2. Battery lasts more than a day.
3. I have 5 screens! (more space to put my apps and widgets!)
4. Has an app installed that lets me see office files! (They have to be the 2003 version, but thats ok, at least I can see them now! I couldn't do that on the G1 nor the Mytouch, well I could, but I wasn't going to pay 30 buck to buy that application!)
5. Good Camera! I don't prefer my cells cam more than my digital camera, but if I don't have my digital in hand, this one works perfectly! (I haven't tried the video camera)
6. I love the switch to silence the phone! Is so easy now to put my phone on vibrate without even having to turn the screen on!
7. Finally regular headphones! The G1 and Mytouch had the micro and then the headphones.. They were annoying!!
8. Feels like if I accidentally drop it is not going to break. Anyway, Is great I have insurance!
9. Still fits in my pocket!
10. E-mail works great! I can open all common types of files!
11. I notice when I get a text or email while on a call! That's something the G1 doesn't have and on the MyTouch it wasn't loud enough.
Cons:
1. Only to 2GB sd card! The G1 had 1GB and the MyTouch 4GB
2. The Charger is short!
3. Camera needs light
4. Feels heavier than it is. I compared the weight with my sister's G1, and they weight about the same, but still when I'm using the Cliq it feels heavy! (maybe I got used to the MyTouch being so light, idk)
5. I don't care about "The Happenings" They are annoying! I don't need to know what all of my friend, family and estranges are doing 24/7, I have my own life!
6. No send and end call buttons :(
7. Calculator does not have the % sign!
8. syncs ALL the contacts from all sites accounts I added. I don't want all my 300 myspace contacts on my phone!
I can't think of anything else. I just know that prefer this phone 100% more than the 3 previous I had :)
Let me know if this if helpful!!
