New BlackBerry 7100 series available with Nextel

Finally Nextel users can put down the old 7520 and happily pick up the new BlackBerry 7100i.  This light-weight sleek designed BlackBerry is a great new replacement to the old large handheld that was being offered.  Full of features, the 7100i includes phone features such as speakerphone, Bluetooth capabilities, polyphonic ring tones, and quad-band frequencies.    Great new advances on the e-mail side include Push and SureType technology.  Push technology makes...

Best BlackBerry I have owned to date.

Overall Rating:
4.5 out of 5

Experience: 30 Days
Pros: Here is a list of the things that have impressed me the most so far about the 7100i:
_ Battery Life is excellent
- BlueTooth compatible
- Very crisp and bright screen
- "Push" e-mail technology
- PTT function was moved to the side for this new model. AWESOME!!

Cons: For me to have to name a con, the only thing I find strange is how the phone feels. It seems kind of cheap. Sorry RIM…

Summary: I enjoy having upgraded phones, so when I tell Nextel users how much better this phone is compared to the last BlackBerry they offered, I hope they believe me.

Love my new 7100i!!!

Overall Rating:
4.5 out of 5

Pros: This phone does everything except take pictures! Here are some of the things I love about it so far. It offers a big color screen yet the phone is still compact. It also has a great keyboard, and is Bluetooth compatible.

Cons: The track wheel is definitely not one of the phones best features. It is somewhat annoying to use and this doesn't help because navigating through the phone is somewhat confusing.

Summary: Besides those two downfalls, I am so glad I decided to go with this phone. Thank you PhoneDog for all of the information you provided me about the phone before I made the purchase from your site. You guys are the best and I can't wait to send all of my friends to your site!

First BlackBerry for me, and I love it!

Overall Rating:
4.5 out of 5

Pros: Some of the things I have been impressed with so far are the great color screen, direct connect access from the side of the phone, and I am really loving
SureType.

Cons: Because the phone is so light I am worried that it may not be tough enough. The best way to describe it that it seems like a toy plastic phone.
The thumbwheel seems to lag a little, but remember this is my first BlackBerry so maybe it's supposed to do that!

Summary: The 7100i is my first BlackBerry and definitely won't be my last! This phone is the perfect size and comes with things like Push E-Mail, and Berry 411 services. I know in past reviews people complain about BlackBerry devices not having a camera, but I say buy a BlackBerry and a new digital camera because this phone is so worth having!

Thank you RIM and NEXTEL!

Pros: The 7100i is a great powerful tool and I couldn't be happier to have upgraded to it with NEXTEL. It's so easy to work with because of the smaller size and is much lighter than any other BlackBerry I have ever seen. I am able to read attachments without a subscription service, so that is a real savings for me. If you can subscribe to the TELNAV feature in your area,(about $10 a month) get it! Its almost like having ONSTAR services right at your fingertips!

Cons: Besides taking some time to learn how to use the keypad, the only other downside was the lack of .wav ringtones. I enjoy being able to personalize my phones so it would be really helpful if they could add more.

Summary: This is a very workable handheld that I am really enjoying. I am so glad the Nextel picked up this great BlackBerry because a PDA with Direct Connect is about the best you can get!
