Back in brown: T-Mobile releases Samsung t819 with hidden 3GT-Mobile and Samsung today announced the immediate availability of the t819, a mid-range slider phone with myFaves compatibility, a 1.3mp camera with video capture, and Stereo Bluetooth. Looking like a mashup of the old Samsung t809 with the keypad from a Sony Ericsson w580i, the t819 is finished in "coffee brown" and can be had right now from T-Mobile.com and their brick and mortar stores.
According to the official specs, the t819 isn't much to get excited about - it's a mid-range slider with last year's specs. However, the FCC filings regarding the handset show that it's packing the 1700MHz WCDMA band, making it ready for T-Mob's 3G rollout (which really might just happen sometime this year ... really).
