BlackBerry Curve 8900: Specs Now, T-Mobile Launch on February 11
Our friends at T-Mo news just hit me up saying they'd gone live with official specs and launch info regarding the T-Mobile version of RIM's BlackBerry Curve 8900. And they weren't lying. February 11 is the date - that's a week earlier than previously reported. On the one hand, sorry for the bad info before. On the other hand, a week early is kinda nice, no?
I've got two big questions about the specs listed on this screenshot. 1) What in tarnation is "High Speed Internet"? Is that code for T-Mo's crappy new "Web2Go" WAP service? Did T-Mo somehow convince RIM to put AWS-style 3G into their 8900? Or is that a reference to on-board WiFi, and not lame old EDGE? And, 2) There's no mention of HotSpot@Home. Where's the UMA love? IntroductionThe BlackBerry Curve 8900 is the most pocketable Curve to date and the nice thing about that is it doesn’t skimp on features. Quite the contrary, in fact this BlackBerry Curve has a ton of connection features: WiFi, Stereo Bluetooth, and even the ability to take calls over a WiFi connection to help extend your coverage. If that’s not enough, it has a 3.2-megapixel camera with flash and auto focus and a display that is downright... The long-awaited successor to the Curve 8300 series is slated to launch at AT&T on Thursday, May 21st, according to "reliable sources" familiar with the matter. Pricing is set to be $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and two-year agreement. Cosmetically, little is changed from the T-Mobile version with the exception of the keypad; the AT&T version will offer white numerals versus T-Mobile's red numerals.Anyone had any... Though the avid PhoneDog readers are well aware of my preference for BlackBerry devices, few people outside of my Twitter followers knew that I spent last month with the iPhone in an attempt to convince myself that other formidable smartphone options existed outside of the BlackBerry. My RIM loyalty goes back many years, through many different models. As a result, my thought process was that I may have gotten too comfortable with the... The guys over at Boy Genius Report have gotten their hands on the latest pricing sheet from AT&T (which is technically the Southwestern pricing sheet, but they assure us it's duplicated across the nation) and it looks like the BlackBerry Curve 8900 will launch for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. Full retail pricing isn't terrible, either - $449.99. The interesting thing is the "NA" beside the BlackBerry Bold full retail... Since we can’t actively cover every news

if you anwser tell me the ups and downs please Yes, Sprint and Verizon are supposed to get the BlackBerry Tour 9630 coming up really soon. Many people think the name of this phone is the "curve 8900 or the BBCurve II" but in all actuality it's not. This phone will only be exclusive to Sprint AND Verizon (Sprint released a statement yesterday saying they would pick it up as well.) The phone should be released around the week of july 13th and starting costs should be around ~... I have an issue with Sprint and Blackberry devices. It makes me mad. All carriers have the Curve so its nothing special.Verizon has the Storm.T-Mobile has the curve 8900AT&T has the Bold.Sprint... well they have no 'exclusive' blackberries.Does anyone know if Sprint will get any new blackberries?
