Go Unlimited for $99?
It all started with Helio’s announcement of a $99 unlimited plan and now somewhat surprisingly all of the major carriers have begun to offer similar plans albeit not as inclusive, but it’s a start. T-Mobile being the latest to join the unlimited calling rates war has decided to up the ante amongst the national carries by including text messaging as part of their $99 package. Verizon’s $99 plan does not include text messaging, but for another $40 you can step up to the Premium package that includes everything…not a bad deal huh?
Sprint’s “unlimited access pack” for $119.00 is a good value, but it’s only being offered in select markets - San Francisco, Philadelphia, Tampa, and Minneapolis-St. Paul. So for the rest of us we will have to wait and see if the rumored $60 unlimited calling plan turns out to be true.
Stay tuned..... Our fancy algorithm says this stuff is related...Fierce! It's the unique new LG Lotus for Sprint - a square-shaped clamshell with a full QWERTY board inside. GPS, Sprint TV & Music, 2MP Camera, HTML Browser, Mobile IM and Email ... Noah checks out this fashion-forward feature phone. During the live demo at the T-Mobile / HTC / Google Android launch event, Doug got a chance to take a closer look at some of the T-Mobile G1's hardware. The device comes with a 1GB SD card, USB port, and removable battery.
Part 2 of Noah's review of the first CDMA Touch Diamond - Sprint's version. Is it a diamond or just a piece of cubic zirconia? Watch Part 2 to find out. Noah goes in-depth with Sprint's version of the HTC Touch Diamond. Is this the best Windows Mobile phone out there right now? Find out what kravvykrav thinks, and decide for yourself, in Part 1 of the review. Deeper hands-on demo at the T-Mobile G1 / HTC / Google Android phone launch event. Featuring "street view" demo, and in-depth Android Market (apps store) details. Doug gets a hands-on tour of the new T-Mobile G1 Google Android phone live at the launch event in NYC. Get a first look at the first Android phone from T-Mobile, Google, and HTC. Hey, look what just came! Thanks, Vanessa ;-) Here are some photos of the black LG Lotus for Sprint. The QWERTY board feels GREAT so far, as those bubbled chiclet-style keys make up for the relatively small size of the layout. Sprint's new One Click UI is sort of cool and helpful and sort of overdone; I'll have to play with it more, but I hope it winds up being handier more often than it gets in the way. And I'm... First off, how cool is it that HTC dropped some significant cell phone news on the blogosphere via Twitter the other day? I'm not saying Twitter itself is/isn't cool, but rather that it's neat to see a tech company innovate when it comes to communicating with the media. Particularly so a tech company that uses the word "Innovation" in their marketing materials.
Second, my post about the possibility of the HTC Touch HD coming to... An Android Community user - and T-Mobile Store Manager in Florida,
apparently - who goes by kaziko has posted the first user
review of T-Mobile's G1 Android phone. The review - which takes the
form of an ongoing forum thread - is summarized nicely in this post if
you don't care to dive into the 11+ page thread. Of course, if you do
there's text galore to tide you over until those G1s start
shipping on the 22nd.
So what's kaziko... When I first heard that T-mobile was offering a VoIP service, frankly, I wondered what could cause them to do such a thing, and what would motivate a customer to buy it. I've never paid much attention to VoIP because I've gotten so used to being mobile, 100% of the time. I went to my local T-Mobile store to check it out, and saw that they were pushing it as the hot new product.
The service is $10 a month for unlimited calls, to anywhere in... T-MoNews has a bunch of new Samsung T919 photos up, and some newly leaked info on T-Mobile's first all-touch phone. November 10th with a price of $149 on contract sound good to ya? Thought so. Just to refresh your memory, word on the streets is this will be a "dumbphone" running Sammy's TouchWiz UI, and feature a 5MP camera with flash, giant touchscreen, and "Web2go" (whatever that is) along with myFaves support. I... T-Mobile's G1 emulator
is online, and playing with it is just like messing around with the
not-yet-available HTC H1 Android phone. Except for the phone part. The
emulator is pretty cool, and honestly got me a little more jazzed to
try out a G1 in person. Don't get me wrong, I was jazzed already - but
the emulator made me forget about the phone's perceived hardware
shortcomings and instead focus on the Android user experience,... Well if your looking for something ideal for texting than either phone would be a good pick. Telling from the videos and reviews about the G1, I'm guessing the sidekick would have a better feel when texting. But if responsiveness isnt a big deal for you(not saying the G1 has a bad keyboard) than I would for sure go with the G1. It has everything a sidekick offers and more. For $30 bucks extra why not add 3G speeds, a touch screen, and a 3MP... yep, u need the plan. if u use text, pic or video mail... tmobile will charge u per message, they dont allow u to get unlimited messages/video/pic thats 14.99 for sidekick, u must purchase sidekick plan for 19.99. I'm planning on getting a sidekick 2008, I already have a family plan with texting included so im asking if i need to get the sidekick plan with text, internet etc. I already have a computer at home so its pretty pointless for me to get the sidekick plan. Do i need the sidekick plan to use the sidekick 2008? im getting rid of my w580i and getting a new phone. im looking for a phone with good texting and a good music player.i know that the g1 isnt out yet but it will soon. i have tmobile and if you can think of any other phones i might like please tell me I'm kinda excited for the Samsung T919 Well, this was a real setback when I was looking on a phone on the sprint network. I thought it would have wifi but later found out it doesn't. Is there any talk about it supporting wifi later on? And if they choose to do so, will it be a hardware update, or could they add wifi just by releasing new firmare? Also what are your experiences on sprints evdorev network? is it fast for internet browsing?... this is my first posting so here it goes. i just switched to verizon as i found out about the takeover by verizon for alltel. anyway i was wondering if anyone has some info as to when it will actualy be noticeable to verizon and alltel customers as i live in an area dominated by sprint and alltel. i am in the "extended network" with verizon and am unable to send picture messages as well as messages that exceed 160 charicters. please give me all... LG announced their LG Lotus for Sprint Network. There has Sprint Navigation, Sprint TV, Sprint Music Store, stereo Bluetooth, 2 megapixel camera, Wireless Backup, microSD card slot, and GPS. The phone also has web access, text messaging, email, and other features. I have had Sprint service since April 2007. I was promised a 15% government discount. When I didnt't get it on my first 3 bills I contacted sprint and they gave it to me manually and I received it until 7 months ago. I contacted Sprint and they gave it to me manually and said I would get it from then on. I have had to contact them every month for the last 7 months because the discount is still not being applied. Two... i wanted to but the nokia 5610 but i heard it give black screens. is it true? can it be fixed?
