iPhone update 1.01 released.
Last week we reported that the iPhone had security vulnerabilities and that your personal data could easily be stolen through the Safari browser. Apple has just announced a new upgrade to resolve this issue and it can be easily downloaded using iTunes.
To update to version 1.01 all you have to do is hit the “check for updates” button in iTunes and follow the easy install steps. The iPhone is configured to do weekly checks for updates so as soon as there is a new update available, you will know about it!!

Discovered at MacWorld 2008, is this the new iPhone air? It's paper-thin and light as a feather. Check out the features of what might (or might not) be the next big thing. Doug and I run a speed test in Brooklyn: iPhone on EDGE vs Vu on 3G vs t819 on T-Mobile's new 3G network. This isn't so outlandish of an idea, but I'll believe it when I see it.The hot Rumor du Jour has a 4GB Apple iPhone headed to uber-discount store Wal-Mart at the low, low cost of $99 with a two-year contract. 99 bones is less than you'll wind up forking over to AT&T for that first month's bill once you figure in the iPhone data plan and activation fee, never mind all of those mysterious taxes that show up cell phone bills.Boy Genius... If you're like me, a wine enthusiast without a lot of expertise, selecting a bottle can be downright stressful. More than once, I've wandered around and around in a shop, under the gaze of a not-too-helpful sales person who keeps pushing expensive items. I usually wind up choosing based on a cool label or staring at a dinner table wine menu like a deer caught in headlights (that is, until I close my eyes and pick something at random). For mere... Lots of great stuff happening for iPhone and iPod Touch users this week. The latest from Orb is no exception. The media-streaming company recently launched OrbLive 2.0, an iPhone app that uses Edge, Wifi and 3G networks to dish out music, videos, photos and even documents, from a Windows PC to the user's cell phone. But let's face it: The real star of the show is being able to watch live television streamed from your own computer to that... The long-awaited, much-anticipated over-the-air podcast downloads are now available via the latest 2.2 firmware update for iPhone!I suffer from over-stimulation in New York City, and podcasts are my major meds. It's the best way to tune out the truck rumbling, honking, streetside fabulous talk and random cursing that assaults my ears on a regular basis. Now, I won't run out of podcasts to keep me level and sane when I'm around town. (There's... The New York Times reported that Google is launching a new voice-recognition search app for the iPhone. The program, which can look up contacts as well as transmit spoken queries to the search engine, has yet to show up in the App store, but should be available at any time now through iTunes. So far, the only way to search Google has been through the built-in Safari browser, so this a welcome change. Using the built-in accelerometer and sensors,... I got this question today via Facebook and thought it warranted some thought ... and all that thought warranted a blog post. So I ask you, as you read on, what do YOU think? Why do some people just seem to hate the iPhone (and Apple) so much? Noah, maybe you can answer this for me: Why is it when people praise the iPhone, they're viewed as either blind fanboys, or on the Cupertino payroll, and when people praise 'any' other... definatly the iPhone...its amazing and its getting even better every single day cuz of new apps and stuff....eventually, the iPhone will be considered a gaming system, and its already a multimedia system....its worth the price n it even has wi-fi on it! I didn't know you had to pay for updates, is there an article about this? That's insane! It's like buying the new 10.x for 150$ when it's a free service pack update in windows. really?dudei need a good phone and now i got the chanceeeeeeeeeshiet Yes, thats a good choice of using such a good product for iPhone scratches. Thanks to Thomas Hsu for submitting these need to know iPhone tips...
Resetting: Most people out there question what to do after their iPhone or iPod Touch freezes. This is a tip, all you have to do is press and hold the Home and Sleep button until it resets. An apple logo should pop up after you know you have done it.
Quick URL's: It's a pain to type on the onscreen keyboard. So when typing out URL's while surfing the web on safari,... i think the invisibleSHIELD by zagg is a much better product. :) I have had an iPhone for some time now, Its a great phone with alota great features. So here is my question; I just recently purchased an iPhone in hopes of unlocking it. I found a lot of information explaining how to unlock the iPhone, however that is not my question. My question(s) is/are this:
1. When using a T-Mobile SIM card that card needs to be paid for right (in other words it needs to be active)?Yes the sim card must be associated with a currently active account
2. Can... So here is my question; I just recently purchased an iPhone in hopes of unlocking it. I found a lot of information explaining how to unlock the iPhone, however that is not my question. Can I simply use wireless instead of the T-Mobile service, or is... The feeling is mutual, i too am disgusted by apple's decision
