The announcement comes as the company celebrates its four-year anniversary of service, this month. MetroPCS launched service in 2002 and celebrated its one-millionth subscriber just two years ago. By giving people the freedom to call whenever they want and talk as long as they want, without worrying about extra charges on their bill, MetroPCS has doubled its subscriber base in two years and reached the prestigious two-millionth subscriber mark in only four years.

MetroPCS service plans start at $35 per month for unlimited, anytime local calling, and for $40 per month, customers also enjoy unlimited, anytime domestic long distance service in the continental United States. MetroPCS offers additional unlimited services for a flat monthly rate such as directory assistance, picture messaging, as well as domestic and international text messaging. Service with MetroPCS requires no contract and no credit check. MetroPCS built its own 3G network from the ground up in all its markets utilizing Lucent Technologies equipment.
