Motorola today announced the MOTO Z5 ZINE handset, a cameraphone developed in conjunction with Kodak.  The Z5 features a 5MP camera with a Xenon flash, digital zoom, and video capture (though video is limited to 15 fps).  The ZN5 will also pack WiFi and one-touch access to the Kodak Gallery for online photos sharing.  MOTO's also claming the ZN5 has "one of the fastest click-to-click times available for 5 megapixel camera phones."

A quad-band GSM device with EDGE support (where's the HSDPA?), the ZN5 is a candybar that measures up at 50.5mm x 118mm x 12mm with a 2.4" QVGA display on the front panel.  Sounds kind of like a Nokia N82, no?  The ZN5 will also feature a 3.5mm a/v jack, stereo Bluetooth support, and CrystalTalk noise-reduction technology - which actually works quite well, or at least did on the Z9 slider I tested last month.

No work on a US carrier picking the ZN9 up, but the phone will be available in China next month with global rollout set for later this year.

Speaking of MOTO, BGR ran a post today claiming that the one-time king of the cell phone world is working on a (not so) secret project that may be the company's last stand.  The ZN8 would be an 8MP cameraphone with some kind of crazy fast NVIDIA chip handling video and 3D graphics, and potentially also feature everything from a touchscreen to the UIQ 4 operating system.  If BGR is to be believed, the ZN8 is currently set for an October release and, "this is said to be Moto’s last big attempt at getting back their market share and reclaiming victory. If this doesn’t work out, we’re told it’s all over for them and they will sell the company."

We'll see about that.  Meantime, you can check out the ZN5 press release right over on Moto's site.

Alexander: New MOTO Smartphone Powered by NVIDIA
A while back a rumor about "Motorola's Last Chance Phone" hit the blogosphere.  Word was that MOTO R&D had a superphone up its sleeve that would basically be the company's last attempt to rise from the ashes and inch their way back towards global mobile dominance.  Today that phone has a name, a look, and a spec sheet ... if you believe BGR. The MOTO Alexander is a somewhat odd (unique?  I think it's odd) looking WIndows...

Re: Motorola Q Expert Review with images

Anticipated Phones of the year, are you serious? Its sales were disgusting. Plus dont you think they kind of copied the design of the blackjack?

Is the Motorola ROKR e6 worth it?

I personaly think the e6 rokr is the best of its kind. Although they are coming out with the new e8 rokr july 7th which will start at $199, i think it is no match for the e6, the e6 is touchscreen not so fat and very well designed. As for the e8, it isnt touchscreen (if your a touchscreen fan dont get it) It also has a small screen and the design isnt exactly what i like to call AMAZING. I think that if your thinking of getting any sort of rokr...

Re: Motorola I355 GPS system

How is anyone supposed to take a two hour lunch nowadays? I know on Verizon phones you are able to select "location" or "911 only" Look under your apps or tools tab to see if you have the option [:^)]

Motorola I355 GPS system

Hi there, my work has just issued each employee a motorola 'MIKE' I355 with a gps tracking system in it.  We were not made aware of its tracking capabilities by the company i work for and some of us are feeling violated by this.  Is there a way to remove the tracking device from the phone or jam the signal?
