Next generation PlayNow content download service unveiledOn November 6, 2007, Sony Ericsson revealed a first glimpse of its new PlayNow™ arena. This marks the latest evolution of the PlayNow experience, Sony Ericsson's popular over-the-air (OTA) download service available directly from the phone menu featuring games, ringtones and full-track music. The new PlayNow arena provides end-users with an expanded content catalog, accessible via both the phone and computer, and uniquely integrates the TrackID™ music recognition service. Introduction of the enhanced PlayNow service starts in selected markets from Q2 2008 with continuous roll-out during the year.
PlayNow facts PlayNow arena, what's new The current PlayNow catalog will be expanded to offer a wider range of premium and free content including hundreds of games from leading publishers, themes and wallpapers, in addition to millions of music tracks and thousands of mastertones from both major and independent labels. Mobile gaming will be a key area for the PlayNow arena. Statistics from M:Metrics reveal that Sony Ericsson end-users in European markets download more games to their mobile phones than users of other manufacturer's handsets. The PlayNow arena is browser-based, requiring no new software in the phone and will be available on most Sony Ericsson phones. It will also support MP3 and Windows Media DRM-enabled devices, regardless of manufacturer, and a large proportion of the music catalog will be offered in DRM-free formats. TrackID integration

I live in the United States (Rhode Island) to be exact, and I am currently using T-Mobile as my service provider. I realize that the phone is compatible with T-Mobile to an extent, but I don't know what that extent is. I've been wanting the phone ever since it came out and now that I have the chance to buy it, it seems like I keep finding more disappointing...Re: HTC Touch HD or Sony Ericsson XPERIA-X1I would say that, if the only reason you're thinking about the X1 is for the keyboard....but, you think you can get used to a software keyboard, the Touch HD is a beast !I find the soft keyboard on the Touch HD quiet usable...even in portrait mode...I'd go as far as to say that the soft keyboard on the Touch HD imo, is the the better than any other WinMo device I have come across. (emphasis on WinMo)Re: Re: HTC Touch HD or Sony Ericsson XPERIA-X1wow wow wow here. Lets think for a minute. Yeah its a good phone if your on ATT, but I don't think its worth $800. If you really need a good touch phone with a keyboard, get yourself a Fuze. Its going to save you a solid $500 in the process. Plus, the phone is a bit laggy and there aren't that many panels even available yet. I still say hold on before you do anything rash.Re: HTC Touch HD or Sony Ericsson XPERIA-X1first of all it depends on which network your on. if your on att then with x1a you can get 3 g which is a huge plus. but if ur on tmobile then there really is no difference here as edge is what youll get on both. Xperia is nice, very sturdy, very well built ! HTC HD has the amazing screen but not actual keyboard. Im actually thinking of getting the X1a myself. I say go for it.Re: HTC Touch HD or Sony Ericsson XPERIA-X1Touch HD isn't coming Stateside, and the X1a (American X1) is coming to bestbuy for an insane 800 smackeroonies. Wait for the X1a to get picked up by a carrier.HTC Touch HD or Sony Ericsson XPERIA-X1HTC Touch HD or Sony Ericsson XPERIA-X1 ..for which one should i go for ??? or just wait ? ... i need ur advice..i am really confused...
