Ocean for the rest of us: Pantech C810 Dual-Slider coming to AT&TMultiple reports have cropped up in the past few weeks all but confirming the Ocea-esque Pantech C810 all but ready for an AT&T launch. Built by the folks responsible for manufacturing the Helio Ocean, the C810 will feature a similar dual-sliding design with discrete layers for numerical and QWERTY keypads. Unlike Ocean's proprietary OS, the C810 is slated to run Windows Mobile 6.
The handset has recently shown up as a "Coming Soon" device on wirefly.com, and the listed specs include full 3G data support including HSDPA, a two-megapixel camera that supports AT&T's "Video Share" videoconferencing solution, and a QVGA display. Boy Genius has a photo of the device showing the QWERTY board in full extension. Hard to tell the scale of the thing, but it looks to have keys that are larger (and hopefully a little more comfy) than those found on the Ocean, though the C810 is said to be smaller overall. BG also has run photos of an AT&T price sheet listing the device at a $299 price point with a two-year contract, or $499 with no commitment. Read Boy Genius on Pantech devices. It'd go something like this: I've always used Apple products, have never bought a non-Apple computer, and have followed them with both personal and professional interest since first laid eyes on an Apple IIe back in elementary school, but I'm this close to calling it a day and moving on to the world of PCs. Apple's grown too fast for their own good, and quality control is suffering in a big...Tips & tricks: Using Opera Mini browser on T-Mobile networkI have a tip that is great for people with smart phones that are either only edge capable or on an edge only network. Using Opera Mini browser on my Nokia E71 and N95 on T-mobiles network I can browse the web faster than using AT&T or Sprints 3G networks, I've tested it. The pages load about 3 seconds faster than on the 3G networks. I have found that this is not well known among T-mobile users that I know.Re: Any phones that work with Cingular(ATT) and VerizonNone - Verizon and Cingular are on different networks Verizon CDMA Cingular GSM Sorry |
