Poor night sleep caused by cell phone radiation

A new study performed by the Electromagnetic Academy at MIT has found mobile phone radiation can severely disrupt sleep patterns in humans. Researcher’s exposed 71 men and women between the ages of 18 and 45 to cell phone radiation prior to going to sleep and discovered exposure to the 884MHz frequency was found to affect the body’s ability to recover from daily wear and tear.

What's more interesting is that participants who were exposed to cell phone radiation during sleep were more likely to wake up with a headache than those who were not exposed.

The solution to a better nights sleep - try not using your cell phone right before you go to bed. It’s also a good idea to not charge your phone next to your bed (I’m guilty) as you need at least 9ft of distance between you and your phone to not be affected by the radiation.

Tuesday, February 05, 2008I use an old (no service) cell phone as a vibrating alarm under the pillow every night. Do you know if it will still emitting radiation even it had no service? Thank You!

Tuesday, January 29, 2008Hi Mike The phone does not emit any radiation when turned off. Because I use my phone all day and don't have a landline I need to keep my phone on at night while charging just in case of emergencies. Sorry for the confusion :)

Sunday, January 27, 2008Your article does not mention the status of the phone while it is on your bedside table at night. I sleep with the phone next to my bed and on the charger but the phone is powered off. Is the phone still emitting radiation? And if it is, to what extent.
