Raphael : Newest HTC Smartphone Surfaces on T-Mobile GermanyJAMP's got the skinny on the HTC Raphael, which is basically the QWERTY-packing variant of the recently announced Touch Diamond smartphone that's got everyone all in a tizzy (and rightly so). Raphael has shown up with a T-Mobile logo slapped on the front, which means it's the "MDA Vario IV" and meant for European markets. But odds are we'll see a CDMA variant of this bad-boy as Sprint's Mogul successor before too long. The MDA Vario IV is a tri-band GSM device with a full VGA touchscreen, 3.2 MP camera, WiFi, and a 528 MHz CPU. I'm liking the look and, frankly, am more interested in this guy than the Touch Diamond. I'm a sucker for QWERTY boards, what can I say? All about Our fancy algorithm says this stuff is related...Monday, June 02, 2008I returned the AT&T Tilt due to software rendering which made video playback an ordeal. Has HTC added a graphics driver that actually works? LG Lotus (Sprint) UnboxingFierce! It's the unique new LG Lotus for Sprint - a square-shaped clamshell with a full QWERTY board inside. GPS, Sprint TV & Music, 2MP Camera, HTML Browser, Mobile IM and Email ... Noah checks out this fashion-forward feature phone.Inside the T-Mobile G1During the live demo at the T-Mobile / HTC / Google Android launch event, Doug got a chance to take a closer look at some of the T-Mobile G1's hardware. Is this the best Windows Mobile phone out there right now? Find out what kravvykrav thinks, and decide for yourself, in Part 1 of the review.Touch HD video: "Your wildest fantasies come to life"Seriously. In the video it says so: Touch HD is where "your wildest fantasies come to life." I want one even more now.T-Mobile G1 Google Android phone expanded demoDeeper hands-on demo at the T-Mobile G1 / HTC / Google Android phone launch event. Featuring "street view" demo, and in-depth Android Market (apps store) details.LG Lotus (Sprint) - Photo GalleryHey, look what just came! Thanks, Vanessa ;-) Here are some photos of the black LG Lotus for Sprint. The QWERTY board feels GREAT so far, as those bubbled chiclet-style keys make up for the relatively small size of the layout. Sprint's new One Click UI is sort of cool and helpful and sort of overdone; I'll have to play with it more, but I hope it winds up being handier more often than it gets in the way. And I'm...WiMax: HTC drops super shiny WiMax phone on RussiaMight this be a peek into our near-term future? I hope so. You're looking at the HTC T8290, a shiny, sleek, badass looking piece of kit from HTC destined for Russia's Yota network. What's neat about this device, besides its obvious good looks, is that it packs both GSM and WiMax connectivity so you can get your voice and high-speed data on in style. There's a 3.8", 800 x 480 hi-res display for all of that content you'll be...G2: HTC Touch HD not US-bound, but similar Android phone isFirst off, how cool is it that HTC dropped some significant cell phone news on the blogosphere via Twitter the other day? I'm not saying Twitter itself is/isn't cool, but rather that it's neat to see a tech company innovate when it comes to communicating with the media. Particularly so a tech company that uses the word "Innovation" in their marketing materials. Second, my post about the possibility of the HTC Touch HD coming to...Sidekick on steroids: First user review of T-Mobile G1 surfacesAn Android Community user - and T-Mobile Store Manager in Florida, apparently - who goes by kaziko has posted the first user review of T-Mobile's G1 Android phone. The review - which takes the form of an ongoing forum thread - is summarized nicely in this post if you don't care to dive into the 11+ page thread. Of course, if you do there's text galore to tide you over until those G1s start shipping on the 22nd. So what's kaziko...DogFight: BlackBerry Storm v. T-Mobile G1 v. Nokia 5800Okay, this is more like a "Paper DogFight" than a real dogfight since, you know, none of these phones are actually available yet. So what? Let's look at 'em on paper and see how they stack up so you can get a jump on arguing with your FaceBook Friends over which of these new phones is the best.Note that I'll include the US carrier for each phone in the competitor run-down. I'm well aware that the Storm is also available in...T-Mobile @Home: First ImpressionsWhen I first heard that T-mobile was offering a VoIP service, frankly, I wondered what could cause them to do such a thing, and what would motivate a customer to buy it. I've never paid much attention to VoIP because I've gotten so used to being mobile, 100% of the time. I went to my local T-Mobile store to check it out, and saw that they were pushing it as the hot new product. The service is $10 a month for unlimited calls, to anywhere in...08 or G1Well if your looking for something ideal for texting than either phone would be a good pick. Telling from the videos and reviews about the G1, I'm guessing the sidekick would have a better feel when texting. But if responsiveness isnt a big deal for you(not saying the G1 has a bad keyboard) than I would for sure go with the G1. It has everything a sidekick offers and more. For $30 bucks extra why not add 3G speeds, a touch screen, and a 3MP...sidekick 2008yep, u need the plan. if u use text, pic or video mail... tmobile will charge u per message, they dont allow u to get unlimited messages/video/pic thats 14.99 for sidekick, u must purchase sidekick plan for 19.99.Sidekick 2008I'm planning on getting a sidekick 2008, I already have a family plan with texting included so im asking if i need to get the sidekick plan with text, internet etc. I already have a computer at home so its pretty pointless for me to get the sidekick plan. Do i need the sidekick plan to use the sidekick 2008?sidekick 2008 vs. htc g1im getting rid of my w580i and getting a new phone. im looking for a phone with good texting and a good music player.i know that the g1 isnt out yet but it will soon. i have tmobile and if you can think of any other phones i might like please tell mehahahbro i wondering the same thing witch ones better im hoping they will do a comparisonSamsung T919I'm kinda excited for the Samsung T919Instinct to support wifi?Well, this was a real setback when I was looking on a phone on the sprint network. I thought it would have wifi but later found out it doesn't. Is there any talk about it supporting wifi later on? And if they choose to do so, will it be a hardware update, or could they add wifi just by releasing new firmare? Also what are your experiences on sprints evdorev network? is it fast for internet browsing?...verizon taking over alltelthis is my first posting so here it goes. i just switched to verizon as i found out about the takeover by verizon for alltel. anyway i was wondering if anyone has some info as to when it will actualy be noticeable to verizon and alltel customers as i live in an area dominated by sprint and alltel. i am in the "extended network" with verizon and am unable to send picture messages as well as messages that exceed 160 charicters. please give me all...HTC touch diamond, imate 9502 or something similarHey, not really into the phone scene but i have just come up for a new phone and i was looking at the HTC touch diamond and the Imate 9502. Are there any phones like this that anyone could suggest? Should i wait for the new Htc's coming out soon (also im in australia so they will take longer to come this way)? or any comments or preference on these two phones? Also my price range is pretty high so anything around the same price should be ok....LG LX600 Lotus for Sprint NetworkLG announced their LG Lotus for Sprint Network.
