Reader meetup with PhoneDog and Samsung
Want to check-out the latest innovations from Samsung hands-on, chat with their executives about the future of wireless, and get the chance to meet fellow PhoneDog.com readers? And maybe even go home with a goodie provided by Samsung? You got it. Plus as an added bonus you can meet PhoneDog's own Noah Kravitz while you're at it.
We decided it's the perfect time to team up with Samsung to host a reader meetup at the big CTIA show in San Francisco later this month. There's so much going on in the industry - from handset innovations to new services to future technologies like Wimax and WiFi calling - why not get the scoop on what's next from the people who know?
So come meetup with Noah Kravitz and members of the Samsung team out in San Francisco at our hosted event for readers. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages will be served, plenty of gadgets and gurus from Samsung will be in attendance, and of course there will be at least one or two giveaways to get your attention.

In that corner - the "Windows Mobile with a cherry on top" HTC Touch Diamond. And in, uh, that corner - the super-spec'd Samsung Omnia. Whose cuisine will reign supreme? A couple tips and tricks for the Instinct users on Phonedog...
Ever want to charge your Instinct with your computer and still talk? To charge your phone (usb-computer) just hit the push to talk button and then connect the usb cable. The home screen will pop up and allow you to still you use your phone while charging.
Sick of holding your Instinct while watching Sprint TV or sideloaded videos? The Instinct has a built in stand! ... Tammy Walker of Moss Point, MS won week #11 of the Phonedog Days of Summer Giveaway. She won a brand new Samsung M520 courtesy of our friends at Samsung.
How does it feel to win Tammy...?
OOOHHH my God!!! Iam so exidet about this great win!Thank you thank you sooo much,I still cant hardly believe that I was that lucky.
I have a useful tip for Verizon's Samsung Glyde.
Everyone probably has some idea about or uses speed dial, right. For me, I normally use speed dials 2 through 9 (which gives you 8 speedy contacts you can reach with just two taps) because it can be too many contacts to remember to enter all contacts in all speed dials after speed dial nine.
Now, you can go ahead and move on to speed dials 10 and on but you'll to take another second to tap... This is pretty cool. Samsung apparently reached out to Technivator to make a staged unboxing video for their new Omnia smartphone. And Technivator delivered. This is pretty sweet - even if I did just use the phrase "staged unboxing video" (what kind of world is this?). Nice work, Technivator. And tip o' the hat to you, Eric, if you were involved in this: Q. Noah, I was extremmely close to buying the iPhone until I saw the Samsung Omnia in your video. looks tight. how cool is it and is it up to par with the beast made by Apple?
A. I've only had a little bit of hands-on time with Omnia but it definitely looks great. Omnia's a Windows Mobile device, so it should be somewhat similar to the HTC Touch Diamond in that you've got Windows Mobile 6 running underneath with a nicer layer of user... At last some original brand cam forward to make something useful and I mean really useful .... I am talking abt the new Samsung SGH-D880 Dual SIM mobile here . In this one u can use 2 sim cards at a time And u can actually use 2 phone line a t a time u cna make call an receive call from both of them .I got it from a ite called myworldphone .com so any one who wants to get this phone can get it from this place coz all their products r straight... Today, the Samsung announced their Touch phone called D980. But the news.softpedia, gsmarena, and gsmprofile say that it is almost same as the Samsung F480. But I noticed that there have great differences between those phones, as like smaller 2.6-inch QVGA display for D980 as compared to 2.8 inches for F480, dual-SIM technology, UMTS functionality, 3G connectivity, and thickness. So, does they are same??? By analyzing gsmprofile, gsmarena, phonedog and any other websites I get information about the Samsung i900 Omnia white have every feature of advanced web browsing. But I have the confusion in this web browser. Does it works like a computer or computer internet browsing? So friends, if you have any idea then inform me.
Please, please. Please............
I have heard that now we can give iPhone look to our Pocket PC therefore I have downloaded this iPhone theme for Samsung SCH-i760. Can anyone tell me this theme will suite my Samsung SCH-i760?Thanks Amazing! The

... First of all, STOP SAYING GET THE GLYDE! because the touch screen on that phone is so finiky and unresponsive! But i would get the Dare because it is on the amazing Verizon Network, and i like the all around look better than the Instinct. but then again it is a personal chioce. If you need a phone more for work (e-mail, calendar, etc.) then get the instinct, but if not, get the Dare.Hope this helps... As a windows Vista user, I must be sure whether Samsung Steel can run on Vista platform or not bfore buying the phone. I want to use that phone as a USB modem. Would any1 help me out plz giving me poper sugession...?
