What's better on a boring Monday afternoon than a few new WiMAX market launches?  That's right, nothing.

As promised earlier in the year, customers in Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point, NC; Dallas-Ft. Worth, Texas; and Chicago, Illinois are now able to utilize WiMAX 4G in their respective markets.  As if that wasn't good enough, Sprint has officially subsidized its first netbook, the Dell Mini 10, which can be had for $199.99 at Sprint stores in the Baltimore metro area.  As the first carrier to formally launch 4G in the nation, does the prospect of a $69.99 monthly data plan appeal to you?

Sprint advertised there network as 4G before they even had it in all areas. They still don't have it in all areas.

and what about 3g? you do realize that none of the carriers have 3g everywhere. does that mean they should not advertise it? Think before you speak...or type.

This Sprint 4G advertising has been a scam for some time. They have been advertising 4G before the release of the Palm Pre. They still don't have and or have announced one phone that supports 4G.

The 4G that Sprint mentions is WiMAX and the 4G known as LTE 4G are different and thus take different methods of approach when it comes to putting it in a mobile handset.

No it does not. There is not a handset in the world that has been released to the market that runs on 4G.
