Sprint to offer new BlackBerry Curve colors

Sunday's launch of the BlackBerry Tour 9630 is making waves across the circuit, but in a lesser known news bit, Sprint plans to offer two new colors on its various BlackBerry Curve models.  On the Sprint side, the BlackBerry Curve 8330 will be offered in "inferno orange," whereas the Nextel BlackBerry Curve 8350i will launch in red.  The orange 8330 is scheduled to be in retail locations by July 12th, and the red 8350i will hit shelves on August 2nd.

I, for one, will be interested to see what an orange Curve (which, in my mind, is the first real consumer colored Curve) looks like in person.  Anyone going to jump on the bandwagon and get one at launch?

Just to clarify (@casifela), the Tour is intended to replace the aging BlackBerry 8830 - the Curve will still be around.

What is Sprint thinking about, curve 88330? Who wants it anymore, everyone wants the tour, I believe. Come on sprint wake up.

The curve is a half the price of the tour. Most people don't need a phone with international capabilities. Verizon will continue to offer both devices as well.

I live in toronto and I see people with blackberry curves everywhere. I think they're extremely popular because they're cheap ($50.00) on most 3 year contracts for most service providers. They are also pretty good compared to recent smart phones even though they're from 2006. I personally think they're really good, but I'm getting the Blackberry Tour 9630 on the 17th (I think that's when it's released) for Bell. It's going to be a great phone, really excited.
