Stay in the Know with US Cellular and BlackBerry
Chicago and Waterloo - U.S. Cellular today announced that it is working with Research In Motion (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM) to bring BlackBerry® to its customers. U.S. Cellular will offer the BlackBerry 7250 Wireless Handheld™ with support for both BlackBerry Enterprise Server™ and BlackBerry Internet Service™.
U.S. Cellular customers will be able to access their e-mail on the same seamless, high-quality network that brings them voice services today. Customers will have access to a comprehensive mobile e-mail, voice, web browsing and data communications solution with advanced security and manageability.

The BlackBerry 7250 Wireless Handheld combines mobile text messaging and high-clarity voice calls, and gives users the ability to stay connected and remain productive in or out of the office. The device’s ergonomic design is highlighted by a large screen and full QWERTY keyboard. The 7250 also includes Bluetooth® technology, for use with wireless headsets and hands-free car kits.
For corporate customers, BlackBerry Enterprise Server tightly integrates with Microsoft® Exchange, Novell GroupWise™ and IBM Lotus® Domino™ and works with existing enterprise systems to enable secure, push-based, wireless access to e-mail and other corporate data. For individuals and smaller businesses, BlackBerry Internet Service allows users to access up to ten supported corporate and personal email accounts (including Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Domino, and most popular ISP email accounts) from a single device.

BlackBerry from U.S. Cellular® will be available for $44.95 per month (email and web services only) or $39.95 per month (when combined with an eligible U.S. Cellular voice plan).

Two Top 5 lists today. This first one is the Top 5 handsets I've actually gotten my paws on in some final or close to final form. The second will be the Top 5 I haven't used, or have only groped semi-functional demos of. Clear enough, right? Good, let's get started:
1. Apple iPhone (AT&T) Problems abound with the new iPhone 3G, from lag during text entry to horrific voice and data service on AT&T in... When you pick up a new BlackBerry Curve, Pearl, 8800, or an 8700, you have the option to pay monthly (9.99) for GPS navigation service, but the thing that most people don't know is that if you navigate to Google.com via your mobile browser, then click on (More>>) at the top of the screen it takes you to a page filled with free BlackBerry enabled Google apps just like on the iPhone! You have the option to download them all at once or pick... I have always used a flip phone and love them. I would really like to try a BlackBerry or touchscreen though. Any feedback? The reason I like the flip devices so much is because I can throw it in my purse and not worry about it calling anyone by accident. I know you can lock bar style devices and touchscreens, but does locking the device hamper any of the features such as caller ID? Thanks! Im guessing that your really not into the whole buisness aspect of the blackberry, but im just guessing.
That is one of the main aspects of the Blackberry, it has always been know as a business phone, and that is how i will always look at them. If your just into texting and having fun go for the Instinct. I am trying to decide which phone to purchase. It's come down to the new Instinct or the Blackberry Curve 8330. I like the touch screen but also like buttons. Will I be able to download free games and apps for each device? . I want to be able to check email easily, surf a little(facebook, news etc), keep track of appointments and calendar, notes, How would playing word games work on a phone with no keyboard? Any feedback... I can't get over how fast the BB processer launches programs! It makes me want to throw my Tilt threw the window!
Anybody know for sure when it will be available? Some people are guessing late 08, but if they wait that long its going to be to little to late.

Yes this cell is really cool.I found it really cheap from wireless galaxy with free home delivery and no sales tax.I ordered both Blackberry 8100 Pearl Blue as well as Blackberry 8100 Pearl White.My experience was great with www.wirelessgalaxy.com .:-D

That phone is already obsolete. devices were never at the top of anyone’s “Best Dressed Phones” list, and the BlackBerry OS looked positively archaic next to state-of-the-art phone platforms like Symbian and Sony Ericsson’s Walkman series. RIM took a big step towards changing all of that with their latest batch of handsets. Slimmer, sexier, and sporting an interface often likened to Apple’s legendary Mac OS, today’s BlackBerries are ... dare I say it? ... almost... |
