Stay plugged in with Samsung this 4th of July
Samsung Mobile recently added 22 new charging stations at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) to help phone junkies stay juiced up while traveling this week.
I am personally grateful for the free Samsung Mobile Charging Station service, which I coincidentally took advantage of yesterday at one of the 51 charging stations in Los Angeles at LAX.
In addition to MSP, power thirsty and travelers desperate for a little battery boost can take advantage of Samsung’s generosity at the following airports: JFK, LAX, LaGuardia, Orlando International and of course, Dallas/Fort Worth.
Our fancy algorithm says this stuff is related...It's the ruggedized Samsung a837 "Rugby" for AT&T. It's the Crane of Death in downtown Berkeley, CA. Push to talk technology meets a giant crane. But will Noah have the guts to scale the crane to drop the phone? Find out here! Out of the box! It's the newest AT&T 3G phone, the pearly white Samsung a637. Low-end means high-tech these days, and this candybar packs 3G, support for XM Radio Mobile & AT&T Music/Video, and a 1.3 MP camera with video capture. Noah loves it when you hit that high ... on no, wait, that's George Michael. Anyway, it's the Highnote - the new musicphone from Samsung and Sprint. It's got a scroll wheel and a nifty dual slider design. It's NOT a tumor ... I mean, Rumor! It's the Rant. Check out Sprint's new messaging phone, the Samsung Rant. It's cool but honestly it does look familiar. For a new take and additional coverage, Noah shipped the Samsung Instinct to Ryan. With a full review in the works, this video highlights Ryan's first impression of Sprint's exclusive 3G touchscreen phone.
Installment #1 of the PhoneDog Mailbag. Noah answers your questions on Samsung Glyde, Apple iPhone 3G, LG Voyager Titanium, and new T-Mobile phones. While i'm not exactly sure what's going on with some of these code names (Behold? Eternal? Huh?), I am sure of this: Samsung Mobile's bustin' out all over with their Xmas-time lineup of new phones for US carriers. Here's a little summary for you, best as I can cobble it out of truth, rumors, and other stuff that's just across the line from pure fiction:
T919 "Behold" (T-Mobile): This one's all but a lock. TouchWiz UI... T-MoNews has a bunch of new Samsung T919 photos up, and some newly leaked info on T-Mobile's first all-touch phone. November 10th with a price of $149 on contract sound good to ya? Thought so. Just to refresh your memory, word on the streets is this will be a "dumbphone" running Sammy's TouchWiz UI, and feature a 5MP camera with flash, giant touchscreen, and "Web2go" (whatever that is) along with myFaves support. I... Has anyone out there upgraded their Samsung Instinct to the latest firmware rev.? I got a few reports that Sprint and Samsung have unleashed a new version that focuses on the Web browser. Sounds like there might just be a full screen option (mapped to the Voice Command button) as well as general speed and stability improvements.Got an Instinct? Upgraded it? Hit the Web and let us know how it is! Samsung launched the Beatb and Beats, two new handsets centered around Motion Play, which lets users access and enjoy music with a couple of clicks. Shake the phone to skip to the next track, tap it to pause the beats and flip it over to mute. Yes – the devices also comes equipped with the standard side keys, but if you can’t be bothered…
Beats, the candy bar style phone slated for October, also comes quipped with Bang & Olufsen... The Samsung Rant, a new messaging phone heading for Sprint in October is similiar to the LG Rumor in form and function. Key features include a slide out QWERTY style keyboard, microSD memory card slot, stereo Bluetooth, media player, 2.0 megapixel camera and GPS(LBS).Technology: CDMAExclusive Carrier: SprintExpected: October 2008 The Samsung Highnote M630 will be available exclusively at Sprint this fall in multiple colors including blue and red. This device is a dual slider that sports a spinning scroll wheel giving it an iPod like feel. Key features include a 2.0 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, Sprint's new interface called "One Click", microSD memory card slot (up to 8GB), voice memo and video capture. Technology: CDMAExclusive Carrier: SprintExpected:... I've only had my Instinct for about two weeks but I'm definitely pleased with it so far. It has surpassed any expectations I had since it's release. Updating from a Samsung m500 flip phone, the Instinct is a huge leap in features. It all depends really on what you are used to. So far those who have been disappointed by the Instinct are people who either had a Blackberry, Treo, WinMo smart phone or expected it to be on par with those phones. The... Am I missing something? As far as I can tell, each time you want to quickly lock the Samsung Alias, you have to drill down through layers of menus:
Tools > Phone Settings > Security > Lock Mode > Device > Lock Mode, Device > Lock.
Then, once you unlock the phone, it stays unlocked and next time you want to lock the phone again, you have to go through all those menu settings?
Has anyone found a quick or shortcut key to lock... umm does anyone know what that new instinct firmware update has in it? I have a choice of 2 phones the samsung instinct or the razr2 v9m. I know that the razr2 v9m is from motorola and it might be of topic. So i told myself, "Hey why not get the samsung instinct, its touchscreen, and newer than the razr2 v9m". So i called my carrier and i asked the guy which phone i should get, the guy said " they're both really good phones, but you should go with the razr2 v9m because its a tougher and more durable phone, the... faster network including internet, way more features, its alot less money, more features in ur plan for less money
id get the instinct Id get the instinct, has faster network, internet browser etc. it has wayyy more features, its a way better deal (price), and the monthly play is much less but more features with plan. Well, this was a real setback when I was looking on a phone on the sprint network. I thought it would have wifi but later found out it doesn't. Is there any talk about it supporting wifi later on? And if they choose to do so, will it be a hardware update, or could they add wifi just by releasing new firmare? Also what are your experiences on sprints evdorev network? is it fast for internet browsing?... Newly announced Samsung Rant will have a full QWERTY keypad..Except that Rant can't create any special impression upon me. Rather the keypad except from the xtra keypad are so seemingly so tiny that it will have very uncomfortable feelings during typing sms or contact..When i saw the pics of Rant on GSMprofile website..it looked very attractive. But will get Zero for its Keypad on the top... how is this phone. I am thinking of getting it for my first phone. i am 14 so texting is gonna be mostly all i do.
