T-Mobile launches 3G in parts of Florida and Texas

The boys over at TmoNews are always working hard to find the latest T-Mobile news, and today is no exception.  In a news announcement sure to please some magenta users in Florida and Texas, new 3G coverage areas have been announced.  If you live in College Station, Beaumont, Bryan, or Galveston, you now have the ability to surf on your phone at 3G speeds.  In Florida, T-Mobile was generous enough to provide 3G to Lakeland, Sarasota, Spring Hill, Bradenton, and Weeki Wachee (a tourist trap complete with mermaid shows, according to a comment).

While it still confuses the life out of me as to what criteria T-Mobile uses for 3G market launches, it's nice to see that the expansion continues.

Looks like the law dogs get it first in Ocala area. Hwy 441 north of Belleview at the split where the sheriffs substation is you will pick up a 3G signal for 1 or 2 mile area only. Havent checked the area near other substations like the one in Ocklawaha yet,
