WordPress available on iPhone
WordPress, the most used blog tool in its category, announced this week that they are live for iPhone! WordPress for iPhone is now available for download from the App Store. All iPhone blogging junkies have to do is go to the store, download it and start blogging on the go.
The WordPress for iPhone open-source application lets users create and edit content on their WordPress blogs and comes complete with the following features: support for WordPress blogs and self-installed WordPress blogs (version 2.5.1 and higher); embedded Safari for true previews of posts; full support for tags and categories; photo support for both camera pics and library photos; support for multiple blogs; ability to password-protect a post, save as draft, or mark for later review; and an auto-recovery feature that recovers posts interrupted by phone calls.
Now, I just need an iPhone… Installment #1 of the PhoneDog Mailbag. Noah answers your questions on Samsung Glyde, Apple iPhone 3G, LG Voyager Titanium, and new T-Mobile phones. It's the third and final part of the battle of the beasts. This episode focuses on messaging and overall impressions. Specs? UI? Flexibility? What really does matter in a phone? Voice quality, even? Three of the heaviest heavyweights take center stage in part two of this PhoneDog Dogfight. In this corner - the iconic iPhone 3G. In that corner - the "Windows Mobile with a cherry on top" HTC Touch Diamond. And in, uh, that corner - the super-spec'd Samsung Omnia. Whose cuisine will reign supreme? What you can win?
If we... Noah's got the iPhone 3G and the old iPhone - the old one's jailbroken, unlocked, and running on T-Mobile. Side by side you can see how the unlocked version works just like the new one (minus 3G). All hail the iPhone-dev team! Also, check out the T-Zones hack for T-Mobile users! Reports from a number of sources and Web sites are pointing to the latest in a string of iPhone 3G problems: Data services are out for AT&T customers up and down the East Coast, and the majority (or perhaps all?) of the complaints are being registered by Apple iPhone 3G customers.A thread in the AT&T forums titled "Full 3g Bars. No Service." details a host of issues iPhone owners are having connections ranging from no data service... Q. Hey Noah, love the site. Now if I got the Apple iPhone 3G, my Question is will it stay new and fun and not seem outdated after 2 years. I tend to get bored of phones after a little over a year. Thank you for your time. Keep up the good work on PhoneDog!
A. I think iPhone will stay new and fun because of the App Store - there are new programs available for it every day, and since many of them are free, it's an easy way to make... Awhile back I ran a few 3G data speed tests on video, comparing iPhone 3G to a few other high-speed Web capable devices. My results led me - and some of you - to wonder if I was nuts, had somehow screwed up the testing, or maybe had just received a lemon of an iPhone from Apple and AT&T. Well, according to a survey just published by Wired, none of those things is true; instead, I merely live in one of the worst areas in the world... If you follow the world of shiny digital gadgets, you know how this story goes. First some rumors about a new mobile phone get leaked. Then the FCC outs said phone to the world by way of official documents that go public on fcc.gov. Then, depending on the timing, either the handset is unleashed upon the world, ending all of the rumor mongering and speculation as to the details of its more juicy bits, or the handset maker does... Q. Noah, I was extremmely close to buying the iPhone until I saw the Samsung Omnia in your video. looks tight. how cool is it and is it up to par with the beast made by Apple?
A. I've only had a little bit of hands-on time with Omnia but it definitely looks great. Omnia's a Windows Mobile device, so it should be somewhat similar to the HTC Touch Diamond in that you've got Windows Mobile 6 running underneath with a nicer layer of user... I want to launch into a rant here. It'd go something like this: I've
always used Apple products, have never bought a non-Apple computer, and
have followed them with both personal and professional interest since
first laid eyes on an Apple IIe back in elementary school, but I'm this
close to calling it a day and moving on to the world of PCs. Apple's
grown too fast for their own good, and quality control is suffering in
a big... Yes, thats a good choice of using such a good product for iPhone scratches. i think the invisibleSHIELD by zagg is a much better product. :) I have had an iPhone for some time now, Its a great phone with alota great features. But its large area of a screen is bound to get scratched up! It did get scratches on it, i wanted to prevent that so i did a little research and found Phantomskinz.com They make protective non-scratchable patterns for phones and stuff. So i orderd one for my iphone and installed it myself. (wich was suprisingly easy) It fits perfect and there is no orange peal...
So here is my question; I just recently purchased an iPhone in hopes of unlocking it. I found a lot of information explaining how to unlock the iPhone, however that is not my question. My question(s) is/are this:
1. When using a T-Mobile SIM card that card needs to be paid for right (in other words it needs to be active)?Yes the sim card must be associated with a currently active account
2. Can... So here is my question; I just recently purchased an iPhone in hopes of unlocking it. I found a lot of information explaining how to unlock the iPhone, however that is not my question. My question(s) is/are this:1. When using a T-Mobile SIM card that card needs to be paid for right (in other words it needs to be active)?2. Can another number be programed onto that SIM card?3. Can I simply use wireless instead of the T-Mobile service, or is... The feeling is mutual, i too am disgusted by apple's decision I just don't get how Apple has the balls to charge for a SOFTWARE update. What other company does that???
I bought XP professional a couple of years ago and I still get updates for free! I have to say I am really dissapointed in Apple's decision to charge for the update! It has to be the worst PR misstep in a long time. I missed the return date by two days!!!
Come on Jailbreak! Nothing annoys me more than having to pay for software upgrades that should be FREE! After all the person buying an iTouch today doesn't have to shell out an extra $20 to get the latest version of the software!!! [:@]
"The iPhone development community has done it again. Software/firmware revision 1.1.3 has been jailbroken (full read/write access to the filesystem), meaning that unofficial third-party...
According to me Apple should just make computers and iPod, iPhone won't be successful.
Are you serious?? iPhone won't be successful? It already is successful and will continue to be so for the foreseable future. How long do you think it will take Apple to out sell the N95 oh I'm sorry it already has- Doh!
