Pros: Free mobile-to-mobile calling to all Cingular Orange and Cingular Blue (AT&T) subscribers.
Cons: Very little support and services for AT&T subscribers.
Summary: Customer service reps are inconsistant with information they give from one another, not very well trained in the finer details of their products and services, and not experienced enough to handle complex calls and issues. I often have to make several calls to resolve service, account, and especially billing issues. If I reach an outsourced CSR, I am transferred several times before I am helped by a more experienced rep or a supervisor.
23 months ago, I wanted to add one extra line of service to a Family plan. The rep added two individual lines, removed my Early Evenings from all lines, which I grandfathered in from AT&T, renewed by contract on all my lines, and gave me a 786 area code. It took me 3 days and countless hours on the phone to get this fixed. They finally removed the extra line added in error, restored my promotional features, converted all lines to a Family plan, and gave me a 305 area code which I asked for. The only thing I could not negotiate was the contract. Next month is the 24th month, and I'm switching to T-Mo.
