They offer a new mobile brand created to give young, passionate consumers the type of wireless experience they have been looking for. They have designed their service offerings to enhance communication with your community through numerous networking and entertainment applications.

Unlocked episode 1 with Noah from PhoneDog.com. Apple unveils the iPhone SDK and announces iFund. Unlimited plans take center stage with Sprint and Helio leading the way. Hands-on with the Helio Mysto and Palm Centro for Sprint.
Noah takes us to Napa CA along with the new thin Samsung Fin device. Being called the thinnest flip phone in America right now, the Samsung Fin is full of features.
Could everyone's favorite MVNO be looking to merge with a less cool but bigger and badder MVNO? Could be.
Multiple media outlets have been reporting that Helio (everyone's fave, if you ask me) and Virgin Mobile USA (actually bigger and badder than Helio) are in talks to join forces. Details are a little bit sketchy right now, but one scenario desribed by The Washington Post has Helio's parent company SK Telecom buying out Virgin Mobile USA and then pouring some cash into the...
Helio's been knocked around in the news a bit lately, but a source tells me they're doing alright and planning some big things for later in the year. Despite having been cut off by former parent company Earthlink earlier this year after costing them $111.3 million in net losses for 2007 (they're now the domain of SK Telecom), Helio actually outpaces the industry in many key financial categories. They added over 180,000 subscribers in Q4 '07, representing a 28% growth rate jump...
Yesterday Helio announced a limited-time offer $99/month Unlimited plan that gives you all the voice, messing, and handset-based data (read: no laptop tethering) you can stand for just under one hundred bucks a month. Today Sprint - Helio's network provider - chimed in with their own offer: Unlimited "Everything" for $119.99/mo, with laptop tethering available as a $30/mo add-on. (Note that the offer is currently only available in five US markets.)For the extreme power user, these...
This one comes as a pleasant surprise: Helio has lowered the cost of its unlimited plan from $145 to just $99/month. The plan includes unlimited voice, text/video messaging, GPS services with Google Maps, and 3G data speeds (no laptop tethering option) for surfing the net or checking your emails.
With most carriers steering away from unlimited data plans, Helio's offer seems like a great alternative, but be sure you review chapter 10 of their Membership Terms before signing up. ...
Helio - that MVNO birthed by SK Telecom and Earthlink some three years ago now - announced that Sky Dayton has moved from his post as CEO to become non-executive chairman of the board. President and COO Wohnee Sull will become the new CEO of Helio; Sull was formerly an executive at SK Telecom.
According to Helio's press release, Dayton's M.O. is to run a company for a few years and then step aside from day-to-day operations, so this shift at the company's upper level should not be...
Call it the eye of the storm: CES teased us earlier this month with a few new handsets from Sony Ericsson and Motorola (not to mention the official debut of Nokia's N95 8GB US model), and all sorts of sexy new phones should be unveiled at next month's World Mobility Congress (aka 3GSM) in Barcelona. And then there's CTIA Las Vegas, which kicks off on the last day of March.
This break in the action seems like a good time for some Top 5 lists. Here are my picks for the best...

Pros: Everything. 99$ plan, only way to go over is buyign ringtones and international calls =DCons: none.Summary: I've had Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T,Verizon. And none come close to the customer service. They have their 99$ plans, but nothing gives you everything like Helio does. Great Phones. I have the Ocean I love it compared to my Sidekick LX =} . Love the service. Service EVERYWHERE. Myspace, Facebook. Its got it alll.

Pros: It can take the memory card, unlike the Heat, the smaller version of this. Small, light, and has decent battery life.Cons: Battery sometimes falls off in my pocket since there is no real case made for it.Summary: I got the Drift because after three months my Heat phone wouldn't let me dial. I got this phone and was just as happy if not more so with the features that came with this phone. They rushed me out another phone and for unlimited text messaging, picture messaging and 500 minutes is a good deal. It also comes with unlimited GPS, internet and just about anything else you can think of. With insurance included I am still happy with the price of my phone.

Pros: Excellent Handsets, Great Plans, Extraordinary Coverage and Awesome Features!Cons: Customer Service and Battery Life.Summary: Let me start out by saying I have had every major wireless carrier, and am a very tech-savy person. I have switched service providers because I have been searching for a phone that does it all, and a phone company that provides services and features that meet my needs as a technology person. Helio has not only met my needs, but exceeded them with multiple features. What initially attracted me to Helio was the Ocean. Seeing a device with so many capabilities sparked my interest! I had heard about the device long before it's launch on multiple tech sites. The reviews it was getting were very good, and would clealy provide competition for the iPhone. A lot of people compare these two products, and most are firmly on either side. Now I am not here to get into an argument about which is better, however I will say that I was very excited about the iPhone, and was going to go back to ATT just to get it. Well when it came out it lacked features that I use/want (MMS,GPS,3G,Vid Rec etc.) Helio, however, offered these features on almost all of their handsets! While continuing to research the Ocean preparing to sign up I stumbled across the Samsung Fin. This device would pack all of the features of the Ocean into a thin (thinnest flip in U.S.) sleek, compact, sturdy, clamshell design! This got me excited, so I bought it! I have had this phone for about 3 months now, and I absolutely love it! The features are amazing, especially the GPS integration with Google maps. It's like having Google Earth on your phone, only it shows your exact location represented by a flashing blue dot! Which is completely free to use too! There are two other GPS apps on the phone: Garmin mobile and Buddy Beacon. Garmin costs $2.99 for 24 hours of use, and provides voice guided turn by turn directions just like a standard GPS device for a vehicle! This can be very helpful, but keep in mind the Google application also provides directions and tracks your location, however does not provide the voice guided turn by turn directions. The speedy 3G network works great when surfing the web, downloading music from the Helio music store, streaming videos and utilizing all the services Helio has to offer. When I signed up I was fortunate enough to be offered a promotional $99 "ALL-IN Plan" that gives me Unlimited Voice, Text and Data! Highly recommended for people like me that use their phone constantly! I do not have a landline and will never get or need one. The service itself has been nothing less than impressive! I have not had a single dropped call, and I talk a lot! I live in the suburbs of Chicago and commute downtown everyday for work. I was taken back when my phone actually rang when I was deep underground on the red line (subway)! This absolutely blew me away, as I take this train all the time and have never seen anyone on their phone, and mine actually rang as I was travelling underground through tunnels under the streets of Chicago! I was able to make a

Pros: 3G Network, Full HTML, Clear Calls, Great FeaturesCons: Sometimes slowSummary: I have the Ocean, which is a great device. It has everything I wanted in a combination device/smartphone. The only problem I have is that it will not Bluetooth connect to my computer - it only connects to hands-free devices. Being able to connect to the computer without wires is a plus to me. The network is good. I can get calls in my home as well as around the city of Chicago. No problems thus far. Sometimes the Internet is a little slow. Other than that, I like the ability to search via the home page.
