LG News
LG's Dare for Verizon might well be the best camera phone currently available through a US carrier. And oh yeah, it's got a full touchscreen and 3.5mm headphone jack. Dare is hot. The PhoneDog Days of Summer just got hotter thanks to our friends over at LG. Word is a VX-10000 Voyager is on its way to the PhoneDog offices and will soon be added to our summer-long giveaway. Can't beat that, huh? Voyager may be a few months old now, but it's still Verizon Wireless' flagship VCAST messaging phone, with its external touchscreen, internal QWERTY pad, full HTML browser and support for VCAST Mobile TV.
Keep your eye out for this one, as it's sure to attract... Noah can't wait to tell everyone about the new LG Dare from Verizon Wireless, so here is another short but sweet video from Montana. Noah sent over his first live shots of the LG Dare while high up in the mountains of Glacier National Park in Montana. He provided us with a quick (and we mean quick) mobile video review of the LG Dare. While we wait for Noah to return from vacation in Montana to complete his highly anticipated LG Dare unboxing video, he was able to send us some still photos of the device. With no cell service available we hope these photos can tie his fans over for the next couple of days! Stay tuned...
As expected, Verizon Wireless unleashed the LG Dare today. The handset is now available via Verizon's online store for $199 after a $50 rebate with activation on a two-year plan. Dare will also be available in retail outlets including VZW stores in Circuit City starting next Thursday, July 3.
We've covered Dare quite a bit already in these pages so I won't go into too much more detail here, except to say that I wish they'd gone with a true Xenon flash instead of an LED flash on... Three hot touchscreen phones - which one's right for you? This is the loooong version of a head to head to head between Instinct, Vu, and iPhone. If you're not up for 15 in-depth minutes, check out the short version for the summary. Three hot touchscreen phones - which one's right for you? Just a few quick updates for you Verizon fans tired of all the Instinct this, iPhone that talk as of late ... LG Dare may
be available as soon as June 26th (next Thursday) via online sales.
July 3rd is the date still being kicked around for availability in
stores. No pricing info has surfaced yet ... just lots of wild
speculation and a $50 mail-in rebate form kicking around the Web.
There's also talk that, like the Samsung Flipshot, the Dare's 3.2MP
camera will have... With California going hands-free next month (on July 1st), San Diego-based LG is giving away 1,000 Bluetooth earpieces at the Peterson Automotive Museum (catch the relevance?) in Los Angeles (tomorrow) on June 19th beginning at 11 a.m. to ensure safe drivers will abound on the parking lot that is the 405.
And, yes, of course they will be partnering with the Ponch (Erik Estrada), an apparently tireless supporter of law enforcement, who will be giving the press briefing on the new laws in... Unboxing and Hands-On with the new LG Decoy. Verizon and LG took a slider phone and snapped a Bluetooth earpiece into the back of it. Is it handy or just a gimmick? Take a look. Apple may have disappointed some phone geeks by leaving a few badly wanted features off of the new iPhone 3G, but in typical Apple fashion they're looking past the specific desires of a few in order to set their sights squarely on luring more of the masses into the Cult of iPhone. Could Apple have added MMS messaging, stereo Bluetooth support, and a decent camera (with flash) to the new iPhone's redesign without sacrificing the grander scheme surrounding the App Store, enterprise...
