Pros: don't have to keep track of minutes or text messages
Cons: somewhat expensive to "roam" outside of local area
Summary: I was a comitted Verizon wireless customer for years but I was tired of paying monthly overages. I travel 2 hours to and from work daily and tend to use my cell phone during my commute. I usually had to not call out on certain dates so I wouldn't run out of my daytime minutes. Several months back, one of my co-workers switched carriers to Metro PCS and raved about it. She even got a phone for her teenage daughter to use. I switched the next week and have not been disappointed. The signal is clear and I even have better signal strength in Rockwall than I did with Verizon (which is an outer suburb of Dallas) I love not having to worry if I'll run out of minutes or having to deal with bills that fluctuate monthly. In addition, I use 411 a lot and Metro PCS has a flat unlimited use plan for only $2 extra! This is a great service if you don't travel outside of your local market much.
