Pros: Nextel was a good company...Then Sprint moved in...Cons: and now we are CONSTANTLY getting dropped calls, "System Busy", "Try Again Later". Summary: The known dead spots are one thing; the roving dead spots keep it entertaining.

Pros: Walkie talkie nationwide service Cons: Kind of expensive, some spotty areas of coverage.Summary: I work in construction so the walkie talkie is pretty much the best part of the service, use it several times daily and it makes communication very easy. There are some blind spots in coverage near my house, specificaly when you neter fairmount park, which is not toally horrible. The cost of service for normal use (non use of walkie talkie service) is pretty expesive, the service plan i have costs about 75$ a month for 1000 minutes.

Pros: I love the phones available to NEXTEL and they give me a great deal on minutes that nobody can compare to.Cons: Service in Staten Island is very spotty and I cant even get service in my own house. Text messages sometimes take hrs to receive.Summary: I used to live in Orlando, FL and had great service but since moving to NY its subpar. I just cant justify switching services and paying double for less minutes.

Pros: The push to talk feature is the best things about this service, it really comes in handy when you don't need to have a full conversation.Cons: I've never had a problem with their Cust. Service Dep. But their service is horrible! I lost service constantly, suffered countless dropped calls and at times there were interseptions, where I could hear an anonyous conversation from another user while I was on the phone. Very weird. ALSO, very important, if you make any changes to your plan, you AUTOMATICALLY renew your contract for an additional 2 years!Summary: If you MUST have the walkie talkie feature, then this is the best bet, otherwise i would not recommend it.

Pros: Generally good service for business people who need to stay in touch with their employees with two way radioCons: Absolute lack of customer service!Summary: I had to replace my blackberry unit after one year and I upgraded to the blackberry 7000i. Not much of an upgrade really. After less than 90 days using the $249.00 phone it crashed. Nextel offered me the deal of a lifetime, they would replace their defective phone for $35.00. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, I had to pay them to replace their defective phone! What service! I chose to take my business somewhere else. I had only been a customer for 10 years.

Pros: 2 Way Feature (That's it)Cons: In and Out of service,Pricing,Plans,Customer no-serviceSummary: Obviously the people who wrote praising Nextel/Sprint must work for them.I live in a thriving area of Jacksonville where the service is terrible and completely unreliable.I get the "no service" on my phone whenever I get near my area and it is well known to be an area where the service will not work on a regular basis. What blows me away is that since the merge between sprint and nextel nothing has improved but has seemed to have gotten worse. Also, my buddy ordered a bigger battery for his phone and he received the battery without the cover which was backordered. They didn't bother to tell him this so now if he wants to use the phone with new battery.........he has to tape it on.They have absolutely NO customer service. Unvbelievable.

Pros: Two-way feature, free incoming calls and unlimited two-way Cons: Poor signal quality, two-way can be unreliable at times, phones can be expensiveSummary: Nextel has its pros and cons. On the good side, it is the only company to offer free incoming calling and a lot of people use the Nextel two way service. I think Nextel probably has the best two-way service available. Unfortunately the two way system acts up and won’t complete the call. They are definitely the lowest on the signal compared to the other carriers. Also all of Nextel phones are outrageously priced. The cheapest camera phone starts at around $250.00, where as Verizon and Cingular sell camera phones for $40.00. I would recommend Nextel if a lot of other people carry it and you plan on using the two-way feature most of the time. If you need to use it as a regular phone try Cingular or Verzion.

Pros: Love the walkie talkie features they provide with their phones Customer Service is also greatCons: Seems that it dosent pick up where alot of other carriers doSummary: Mostly happy with nextel services Customer service is always friendly as well as helpful. The walkie talkie feature is great I work for a small company and we use this feature all the time it really conserves our minutes which saves us money. We only hope the coveradge area will expand.

Pros: Push to talkCons: See summarySummary: Ever since the merge with the other phone company...I now get poor reception. I have reported it many times...according to them there is nothing they can do about it..I have tried to cancel but they want to charge me $200 to do so...I can see if I was wanting to cancel do to me just wanting to change to another company, but do to poor service and the fact that they are not planning to do anything about it is insane.

Pros: are there any?Cons: Drops calls, no service, never clearSummary: I wish they would improve their service. I thought they would when they joined with Sprint last year but there seems to have been no improvement or in some cases I think it has got worse. The only reason I use it is for work.
