Palm company profile
Palm Inc. formerly known as PalmOne, was founded in 1992 and acquired by U.S. Robotics Corp. in 1995. In 1996, Palm introduced the Pilot 1000 and Pilot 5000 products that led the resurgence of handheld computing. In June 1997, Palm became a subsidiary of 3Com Corp. when U.S. Robotics was acquired by 3Com. With its acquisition of Smartcode Technologie in February 1999, Palm added advanced wireless communications capabilities to the Palm OS® platform to address the market for mobile information appliances, such as cellular telephones, messaging devices, data communicators and smart phones. In September 1999, 3Com announced plans to make the Palm subsidiary an independent, publicly traded company. The company became independent on March 2, 2000, and was traded on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol PALM.Top Palm cell phone specials

Palm's new Treo Pro was leaked last week on the Palm website. It looks
like a slicker, sleeker, blacker Treo 800w, and while the leaked Flash
demo animation was quickly pulled from the site, speculation abounds
that the new device may also go by the name Treo 850 and resemble the
800w when it comes to specs and features.
For reference, the 800w measures up something like this:

Sprint's gone and launched the Palm Treo 800w smartphone, and some of you might even have one already. $249.99 (on contract and after rebates) gets you the latest Palm device with Windows Mobile 6.1 and the first Treo ever to feature onboard WiFi (802.11 b/g). You'll also get EV-DO Rev. A for high-speed data, GPS with Sprint Navigation support, a 2MP camera, Sprint TV, and direct push e-mail.
We'll have one in the offices shortly -... What’s Good: Full-featured, easy to use smartphone for entry-level price; Clear, bright, high-resolution touchscreen; Compact body with rounded edges; Zippy EV-DO data with access to Sprint TV service; A-GPS works with location-based services
What’s Not Good: QWERTY keys are small and cramped; Display is smallish (if still easy to read); Hardware and software design feels a bit dated; Noticeably thicker than comparable devices; No Music Store... No chance - they would need a friggen miracle It may just be me, but does anyone really care about a phone that is already out dated? Does anyone know when the rumored Treo 800 is supposed to be released???
Even though I'm not a big fan of Treo's with the right design they could make a comeback. I just want a cell phone that makes phone calls. I went to www.palm.com which is a great site to go to if that is what you are looking for. I havent really been to any of the other sites but you can check them out and compare. You may find more there. Now if you were a salesman you would be wonderful at selling phones, you sold me on that phone and Im still in shock that the phone does all of that in the first place. Wow, I love the look of the this one. The review was well written. This is the one that my boyfriend told me that I should look into getting. I like it a lot. Thanks for the review! Thanks for the links. When I clicked on the one above, I notice it says that there's no subscription fee required for music and TV.
I wonder if that's because it streams signals using WiFi? That is like the smartest thing that I have ever seen before in my life. I have never thought that you could come up with something so cool. I know there has been many times where I have lost my charge and I thought i was going to lose it. I wonder how you cut your charger like that though. I have to agree with everyone, The Blackjack offers a nice package of tools, the 3g network is nice when its funtioning on US Networks, but more importantly the phone holds calls, its light weight, and it offers a slim design. If you want a phone that fits well in your pocket and isn't too cumbersome go with the Blackjack. Thanks for posting the link. I'm surprised that it's possible.
Has anybody here actually done it?
