Noah gets some time with a prototype of Sony Ericsson's Xperia Pureness. It's a total breath of fresh air in the age of touchscreen smartphones. Noah looks nothing like Maria Sharapova. Like Maria, SE's new Equinox is colorful and fashion forward. Noah, on the other hand ... Gotta love sneaky-looking high-fashion models conducting a covert operation around a shiny new piece of technology. This is Sony Ericsson’s new media campaign for its new Jalou cell phone by Dolce&Gabbana. According to Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana: “The campaign theme plays with the concept of jealousy and desire for a must have object. The protagonists are willing to do whatever is necessary to get it before everyone else.... AT&T joins the megapixel race with SE's 8.1 megapixel Cyber-Shot phone, the C905a. It's a slider, it's got a crazy camera, and it's silver. Check it out. If this is legit, color me impressed and intrigued. The Unofficial Sony Ericsson Blog posted what they're calling an exclusive demo video of Rachael's UI, Rachael of course being the codename for SE's forthcoming first Android phone. Whatever's in the vid, be it the actual UI or a fanboy's cartoon dream, looks great - a rather HTC-like custom UI with eye-pleasing apps for messaging, twitter, music player, and so on. The Xperia-branded Rachael is... Noah gets an impromptu look at Yari, Sony Ericsson's new slider phone with gesture gaming controls. Hide the kids, PhoneDog's going virtual bowling!
Sony Ericsson made it all official today, ending the teasing and announcing the Xperia X10, the first of what SE says will be a family of Android OS devices to ship next year. X10 is expected to be available in Q1 of 2010, though no specifics were given as to pricing or availability.
A few hands-on reports have popped up from the SE launch event, and it sounds like the canned demos of the "Rachael" UX (User Experience) are pretty amazing, but...
Sorry for the corny sitcom nostalgia headline. Me want Sony Ericsson Xperia X3/X10/Rachael/Infinity. Me want now. Me wait until 11/3/09 for launch. Me content with teaser video until then.
You? You click DroidDog and watch. You drool. You wait until next Tuesday, also.
Meantime, we watch reruns of Friends. Joey funny.
Maybe I'm just temporarily blinded by the halo-esque glow and utter non-touchscreen-smartphone-ness of it, but there's something I find really cool about the prototype Sony Ericsson Pureness I've been messing about with this week. Also, Pac Man comes pre-installed.
Hands-on video soon. And SE tells me Pureness will be available in the U.S. by Black Friday. No word on whether that's direct/unlocked or on a carrier. If a 2-year commitment’s not how you roll, then you might be interested in the Sony Ericsson Aino, which launched today for $600. (The Ay-no? Ah-no? Uh, no? Forget it. I have no idea how to pronounce this.) The Aino is a 8.1 MP, Wifi-equipped device that supports tri-band HSPA (which would make it compatible with AT&T) and offers Remote Play, to access multimedia on Play Station 3s. The downside? A measly 1000mAh battery and a...
Gotta love early announcements. Sony Ericsson’s first foray into Android — the XPERIA X10 (aka X3 or “Rachael”), which was once thought to be slated for 2010 — is having its coming out party on November 3. Leaks of the official brochure sort of indicated this might be the case, and now there’s confirmation, á la the company’s own event page. (As evidence, the HTML source includes several... Leaked images of the Sony Ericsson’s XPERIA X10 (aka X3 or “Rachael”) have been making the rounds lately. Unlike the mock ups of the unannounced device that were floating around previously (see below), these are shots of the actual handset.
Will it sport the pretty UI that was glimpsed early last summer? It’s expected to, though these pics aren’t showing it. (For a refresher, or if you didn’t catch it to... There are more and more rumors and leaks of the X2 almost every day. Chances are it will be coming out before the end of 2009. They already have full Tech specs on this website

can anyone tell me if this is real or not because im now even more discourage to buy the xperia x1 I think that Noah should get some Sony Erricson Walkman phones. Reply on what phones you want! iPhone:
1. When getting Wifi, you can select your network, and to ensure connection, you can click on the network you selected. If the IP address is shown, then you have been connected!
2. If a Wifi Network isn't connecting you, go to the last feature (the one where you write a network name) and write the network name. It gives you a better chance at connecting!
Sony Ericcson: Any one
1. Go to Main... I have recently found a handy trick on the Sony Ericsson W610i.If you press 3 2 5 6 at the same time (not holding it, that will launch the VR) it will show you your phones battery life, memory, phone number, etc.I do not know if it works for other Sony Ericsson models. hd has a problem that u can not view everything in landscape mode.... for tht we need 2 install GSen ..some software... X1 in this case is much better... and i have heard that htc's camera quality is not good ...their 5 MP = 3 MP .. ! :( Hey Noah,
My name is Raquel and I was recently thinking about purchasing a SE M600i. I live in the United States (Rhode Island) to be exact, and I am currently using T-Mobile as my service provider. I realize that the phone is compatible with T-Mobile to an extent, but I don't know what that extent is. I've been wanting the phone ever since it came out and now that I have the chance to buy it, it seems like I keep finding more disappointing... I would say that, if the only reason you're thinking about the X1 is for the keyboard....but, you think you can get used to a software keyboard, the Touch HD is a beast !I find the soft keyboard on the Touch HD quiet usable...even in portrait mode...I'd go as far as to say that the soft keyboard on the Touch HD imo, is the the better than any other WinMo device I have come across. (emphasis on WinMo) wow wow wow here. Lets think for a minute. Yeah its a good phone if your on ATT, but I don't think its worth $800. If you really need a good touch phone with a keyboard, get yourself a Fuze. Its going to save you a solid $500 in the process. Plus, the phone is a bit laggy and there aren't that many panels even available yet. I still say hold on before you do anything rash. first of all it depends on which network your on. if your on att then with x1a you can get 3 g which is a huge plus. but if ur on tmobile then there really is no difference here as edge is what youll get on both. Xperia is nice, very sturdy, very well built ! HTC HD has the amazing screen but not actual keyboard. Im actually thinking of getting the X1a myself. I say go for it.
