Pros: Waiting an hour on the help lineCons: Waiting two hours on the help lineSummary: We got promised a killa deal in November to renew our agreement. Free insurance, free international long distance, free phones. None it has been true. They have tried to charge us for everything, never getting a bill right since. Combined with my wifes company discount that never gets put on it is a total shambles. Yesterday I got a letter saying the free insurance was to be terminated because of our national price plan didnt cover the discount. So now we are looking for another provider who may look after us properly. Is it hard to get a bill right? Also on another note too many dropped calls, poor signal strength and even worse customer care.

Pros: Right now I cannot think of any.Cons: Poor website, poor (cannot understand most of the time) customer service, phones kind of suck...Summary: First of all, I was with Nextel for about four years and just recently switched over to Sprint. My husband and I wanted to check on new phones because he was out of contract, ready to cancel, but decided to try out a hybrid phone for free for a month , because they wanted to keep his service, and I purchased one as well. They sent us phones that did not work in our area! You think they would have a program that shows phones that work in the area they are dealing with when working in sales. So, somehow, my husband's contract was renewed for trying out a new phone so we had to wait until they received the phones back and credited them to our account until he could get another phone. That was nearly two months ago which they say it takes about two billing cycles to get credit. It was not even our fault that we were sent the wrong phones! I realize they need to make sure that we did not keep the phones but we deserve a little slack. Keep in mind, while communicating with the representatives from Nextel/Sprint while all this was going on, sometimes I could not understand what they were saying and other times I got transferred over and over again to the wrong departments. I went ahead and bought another phone thinking things would improve, which Sprint nicely talked me into getting another line, my fault, but I was still getting charged for my other phone, so the smart thing to do was cancel that line. However, even though Nextel and Sprint have merged, although not completed, I still got charged the early termination fee. As far as their website goes, I just tried the other day to register my husband's phone so that we could pay our bill online, but kept getting rerouted to Sprint's main page. That is not the first time I have had issues with the website either.

Pros: Fast internet, Live Tv more channels than VW, $.99 downloads, Larger digital caverage than VW, Analog roaming was clear as a whistle, unlimited text only 10 p/month, unlimited data is really unlimited vs. VW so called "unlimited data", that limited me to only 5gb worth of downloads per month. Cheaper service than the rest, (2000 more Mins free because of nights at 7 when compared to VW and TM.) Never loose signal and have had the 8200, and 8400, about to buy Katana DLX and travel from Wichita FaCons: The only Cons that I have is that their High Speed Rev A is not here in Wichita falls yet, but is coming in September. The wait on CS is also horrible, but I've only called them once.Summary: I highly suggest Sprint. If you asked me three years ago I would have said choose someone else, but now that they have improved the CS and coverage; and the prices dropped this wins my recommendation.

Pros: Hmm. Mobile to mobile. My contract is up in 4 days!Cons: Customer Service is rude. Coverage has issues.Summary: I have been with Sprint for 7 years, and I am so ready to switch companies. I don't use my cell phone a lot, but when I really need it (traveling, the mall), I can't count on Sprint. I called customer service to inquire about my bill stating "New Plan" because I had not switched plans, and they were rude and not helpful. I am so looking forward to switching companies.

Pros: My contract is up and I can leave.Cons: Lousy customer service, lots of dropped calls, mediocre handsets, they extend your contract every time you make a change, I could go on.Summary: Sprint is awful. I've had them for 10 years, and have had enough.

Summary: I've had Sprint for about a year & a half now. I'm currently on my 3rd phone due to the fact that the first 2 were defective. My current one is too, but I didn't find out in time to exchange it. I've basically just been buying my time until I can get out of my contract. In Lansing Sprint service is just awful. Around 90% of my calls are dropped, generally with seconds of me receiving my call. My voice mails sometimes take weeks to catch up to my phone & ocassionally just disappear into the ether. Because I'm in a family plan it would cost us $200 per phone (3 phones) to get out of the contract, so we're stuck.

Pros: NONECons: SeveralSummary: I got Sprint service in Jun 2006. I paid a fortune for the Palm 700p phone. I have nothing but problems. The phone cord did not work, when I complained the manager of the store gave me a run around until I escalated the problem to area manager, I was given a new cord. I had no connection whatsoever in my home. The customer service went in circle unable to resolve the issue and I am stuck in a 2 yr contract. Last night I logged into my Sprint online account and discovered that my contract date is extended by 5 months. When I called in customer service, Veronica at the other end was extremely rude and they put me into the regular queue when I requested to speak with a Supervisor. The original contract that I signed clearly states the early termination fee $150 but she insisted that it was $200. Extremely bad bad service. I normally do not give bad reviews but this one deserved it.

Pros: Best prices, quality digital sound and reception, quality phones, and store locations.Cons: Customer service, wish they would speak better english, but they try.Summary: I was with cingular (at&t) and verizon, they overly priced and overly rated.I am with sprint pcs now,and I think they are great,no problems, but the best part is best prices, you can save alot of money $$$$,and have good service.

Pros: I like the Contacts, Notes applications, and Love the Bubble Breaker game that came with the phone.Cons: Where do I start. Signal strength makes the cell phone function of this phone absolutely useless. Customer service runs a close second.Summary: I purchased the PCS PPC-6700 from Sprint in July of last year, (2006) after the poor customer service I had received from Verizon. By Choosing Sprint I could not have made a worse decision. Living on Whidbey Island in the Northwest corner of Washington State this cell phone is absolutely useless. Because of the weak signal strength I drop more than 50% of all calls made from inside any building. When the calls are not dropped, they are so spotty and of such poor quality that I must step outdoors to find a location with adequate signal strength. Living near a Naval Air base I have to contend with aircraft or road noise from passing cars to have a conversation. Oh, did I fail to mention that we also get a fair amount of rain during the fall and winter months here in the Northwest. Standing in the rain to make stable non-dropped calls is not my idea of good service. My only other option is to use my land lines.
I contacted Sprint customer service to inquire about a solution to these problems. Their solution is as follows. They recommended that I purchase a “zBoost YX510 Dual-Band Signal Booster” from my local Radio Shack at a cost of $399.99. If I were to choose that option they were willing to give me a discount on my monthly billing for six months Well, needless to say I couldn’t wait to run out and purchase that $400.00 signal booster and add it to the $349.00 PPC 6700 phone I had already paid for. I’m now at $749.00 for my phone and the equipment to make it useable. Oh, there I go again. I almost forgot one the most important new features I would have if I had chosen to use their recommended solution. Since that new handy-dandy Dual-Band signal booster is considered a base station I would have to set it up in some stationary location, thus converting my once mobile telephone into basically a land line phone using a cellular network.
But wait, there’s more!
Oh Irony of Irony’s. Just when you think that things can’t possibly get any weirder, I received a call from a Sprint Wireless sales person, she had a beautiful voice, telling me of an improved phone package they were now offering. It included a new smart phone upgrade for just $49.00. Her sultry voice had put me into a swoon, and just as I was about to say yes, my phone dropped the call.
What’s Good: Universal landscape mode and universal landscape QWERTY; optically-enhanced action button functions as a scroller or track pad; appropriate use of haptic feedback and accelerometers; excellent 5 MP camera with LED flash, auto-focus and face detection; secondary cam for video calls; embedded GPS; FM radio and overall A/V-friendliness; large, welcoming and sensitive screen; it's a generally comfortable phone that makes you feel cool...
Part 2 of Noah's 2-part review of the BlackBerry 8220. The first-ever BlackBerry flip phone hides the buttons away for a sleek look, but does it have the juice to keep Crackberry addicts happy?

The first ever flip BlackBerry is a winner, so long as you play to its strengths. While the 8220 is very large for a modern day flip phone, it's lightweight and slick looking enough to trick you into thinking it's a little smaller than it really is. I've had the 8220 for just under a week now, and I very quickly grew used to carrying it around in my pocket. No, it's not as thin as a RAZR or as small as a low-end sliderphone,...
If only my BlackBerry would flip shut! Hey, it does! Noah unboxes the new BB Pearl Flip 8220 for T-Mobile and gives us a (long) quick tour around the phone.
Lane Jensen in Oregon here and I have a great trick that works for all Verizon phones to get better signal. First, you need to be within about a 5-10 mile radius of where you are going to use your phone the most. Secondly, instead of dialing the normal *228 for activation, dial *22899 and it will take you instantly to the programming music and update your phone. No more having to go through the prompt and listening to the same old voice saying,...
Fierce! It's the unique new LG Lotus for Sprint - a square-shaped clamshell with a full QWERTY board inside. GPS, Sprint TV & Music, 2MP Camera, HTML Browser, Mobile IM and Email ... Noah checks out this fashion-forward feature phone.
Hey, look what just came! Thanks, Vanessa ;-) Here are some photos of the black LG Lotus for Sprint. The QWERTY board feels GREAT so far, as those bubbled chiclet-style keys make up for the relatively small size of the layout. Sprint's new One Click UI is sort of cool and helpful and sort of overdone; I'll have to play with it more, but I hope it winds up being handier more often than it gets in the way. And I'm...
It's the ruggedized Samsung a837 "Rugby" for AT&T. It's the Crane of Death in downtown Berkeley, CA. Push to talk technology meets a giant crane. But will Noah have the guts to scale the crane to drop the phone? Find out here!
Heads-up, phone phans! Nokia's planned an announcemnet for next Monday, October 13th - and has a viral campaign to hype things up in the meantime - and Motorola's announcing something new and "Clear" (as per their PR campaign) on Tuesday, October 14th. My bets? I have no idea what Nokia's gonna drop, but I bet MOTO unveils the Kraze smartphone for Verizon Wireless.
Stay tuned for all of the juicy bits as we get them. And...
Out of the box! It's the newest AT&T 3G phone, the pearly white Samsung a637. Low-end means high-tech these days, and this candybar packs 3G, support for XM Radio Mobile & AT&T Music/Video, and a 1.3 MP camera with video capture.
Might this be a peek into our near-term future? I hope so. You're looking at the HTC T8290, a shiny, sleek, badass looking piece of kit from HTC destined for Russia's Yota network.
What's neat about this device, besides its obvious good looks, is that it packs both GSM and WiMax connectivity so you can get your voice and high-speed data on in style. There's a 3.8", 800 x 480 hi-res display for all of that content you'll be...
First off, how cool is it that HTC dropped some significant cell phone news on the blogosphere via Twitter the other day? I'm not saying Twitter itself is/isn't cool, but rather that it's neat to see a tech company innovate when it comes to communicating with the media. Particularly so a tech company that uses the word "Innovation" in their marketing materials.
Second, my post about the possibility of the HTC Touch HD coming to...
