Pros: T Mobile is cheaper than any other carrier. It is also easier for first time customers to get. You rarely ever have droped calls. No Roaming!

Cons: Service is sketchy. Unreliable- towers always going down.

Summary: At my house, I rarely have service. You can stand outsid eeven in one place & have 4 bars on second & none the next. It jumps back & fourth like its playing hop scotch. I just would like to be able to have steady service near my home. We thought it might be the phone so i bought a new one, and it still does it. it's deffinately t mobile.

T-Mobile, Saint Cloud, MN Area.

Overall Rating:
4 out of 5
By: Jordan N on Monday, November 27, 2006

Experience: 44 Months
Pros: Great Prices, leading in my area.
Awesome Customer Service
Many plans to pick from
Many of the hottest phones
Great texting plans
Many billing options, by phone, internet, mail, from the handset, etc.

Cons: Reseption isn't all it could be, nothing like Verizon, but good for the price charged. T-Mobile always did 1 year contracts, but now they just switched to 2 year contracts.

Summary: T-Mobile is an overall good company. They have wonderful customer service. You may have to wait on hold for 5-10 min to get a rep, but once you are talking to one, he is usually very helpful. I have had problems with a 3rd party seller adding to my contract, one call to cust. service fixed that with no problems. My hadset was not responding correctly once, I called in and within 10 min, all my problems were solved. They have very knowadgeable reps. Keeping in mind the price of T-Mobile plans and their quality, T-Mobile is a great value. The plans are cheap, and the service is pretty good, only on some country roads does my phone not respond.

Satisfactory

Overall Rating:
3.3 out of 5
By: Jeremy Truong on Wednesday, November 01, 2006
From: Elk Grove, CA (United States)
Experience: 2 Years
Pros: Always clear.
Great Service.

Cons: 1/10 places has no signal

Summary: T-mobile has great plans with just the right price. They used to be the best in signal, but a lot of carriers are beating them. They would be even greater with roll-over, but too bad. I recommend this for a business person who want a great deal. I wouldn't recommend this carrier for anybody with specific expectations.

STAY AWAY

Overall Rating:
1 out of 5

From: Evanston, IL (United States)

Pros: Cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Cons: Unhelpful customer service, inflexible company, terrible coverage.

Summary: Inflexible, unhelpful, they are simply out to get whatever $ from you.

I wanted to change which credit card the automatic pay should go, so I called to discuss with customer service. They told me I could change it online, so I decided to do that on 9/13. On 10/11, TMobile charge the payment to the old credit card on file because apparently, my billing cycle closed on 10/11, and my changes were 2 days too late. Even though I called to ask about the change before I made it, the customer service rep never said anything about that. And I was *warned* online through fine prints. This resulted in a $40 over the limit charge on my credit card. I called again afterwards to ask if they could just refund my 1st credit card and immediately charge everything onto another credit card, I was told "There's simply NO WAY I could do that."

Another incident completely unrelated, I have had TMobile for over 2 years and paid hundreds of dollars to them, all on time. I was late 10 days once because of a stolen credit card, they refuse to remove the $5 late fee. Hope they are enjoying that $5.

On top of all that, the coverage STINKS! I get "Network Failure" in the middle of calls. I get no signal many, many times when my friends have signal with other networks.

If I didn't have this cursed contract, I'd drop the company before I could blink. DON'T get TMobile!!!!

Pros: One of the few cell phone carriers that I can receive signal at my home.

Cons: Customer service is hit or miss

Summary: T-moblie is one of the few cell phone carriers that I can receive signal must of time at my home. I have had to contact customer service a few time and every so often you find a real diamond but sad to report most reps are lumps of coal.

T-Mobile... The company dependant on Cellular One

Overall Rating:
2.7 out of 5
By: Heidi Sypin on Tuesday, October 24, 2006
From: Erie, PA (United States)
Experience: 2 Years
Pros: Affordable family plans, easy approval even with past bad credit history, friendly customer care representatives.

Cons: Often lose signal, end up "roaming" and using Cellular One towers while traveling within the same city.

Summary: T-Mobile seemed like a great company. They are well know, and approval for service was easy. My husband and I filed for bankruptcy several years ago, and it continues to "haunt" us when applying for credit. However, the service of T-Mobile is not very dependable. Even while traveling short distances in my area, we lose a signal. Other times, a signal is available-- from Cellular One's towers! Although roaming is included with our plan so we're not paying anything extra for it, it's an inconvenience. We have to dial the area code while roaming in order to make a call. We have no access to our voicemail while roaming. Overall, I would not recomment T-Mobile to others in my area because of poor reception.
