LG's Dare for Verizon might well be the best camera phone currently available through a US carrier. And oh yeah, it's got a full touchscreen and 3.5mm headphone jack. Dare is hot.
Noah sent over his first live shots of the LG Dare while high up in the mountains of Glacier National Park in Montana. He provided us with a quick (and we mean quick) mobile video review of the LG Dare.
Unboxing and Hands-On with the new LG Decoy. Verizon and LG took a slider phone and snapped a Bluetooth earpiece into the back of it. Is it handy or just a gimmick? Take a look.
The PhoneDog Days of Summer just got hotter thanks to our friends over at LG. Word is a VX-10000 Voyager is on its way to the PhoneDog offices and will soon be added to our summer-long giveaway. Can't beat that, huh? Voyager may be a few months old now, but it's still Verizon Wireless' flagship VCAST messaging phone, with its external touchscreen, internal QWERTY pad, full HTML browser and support for VCAST Mobile TV.
Keep your eye out for this one, as it's sure to attract...
While we wait for Noah to return from vacation in Montana to complete his highly anticipated LG Dare unboxing video, he was able to send us some still photos of the device. With no cell service available we hope these photos can tie his fans over for the next couple of days! Stay tuned...
As expected, Verizon Wireless unleashed the LG Dare today. The handset is now available via Verizon's online store for $199 after a $50 rebate with activation on a two-year plan. Dare will also be available in retail outlets including VZW stores in Circuit City starting next Thursday, July 3.
We've covered Dare quite a bit already in these pages so I won't go into too much more detail here, except to say that I wish they'd gone with a true Xenon flash instead of an LED flash on...
Yesterday I read a few interesting things about Google's Android mobile
operating system. First was an article in the latest issue of Wired
(my subscription to which I think I'm going to let run out). Second,
third, and fourth were a handful of articles online stemming from this
Wall Street Journal post that got some folks' knickers in a collective
twist.The Wired article actually
wasn't a bad read, as it told the backstory of Sidekick inventor Andy
Rubin trying to get...
Just a few quick updates for you Verizon fans tired of all the Instinct this, iPhone that talk as of late ... LG Dare may
be available as soon as June 26th (next Thursday) via online sales.
July 3rd is the date still being kicked around for availability in
stores. No pricing info has surfaced yet ... just lots of wild
speculation and a $50 mail-in rebate form kicking around the Web.
There's also talk that, like the Samsung Flipshot, the Dare's 3.2MP
camera will have...
Apple may have disappointed some phone geeks by leaving a few badly wanted features off of the new iPhone 3G, but in typical Apple fashion they're looking past the specific desires of a few in order to set their sights squarely on luring more of the masses into the Cult of iPhone. Could Apple have added MMS messaging, stereo Bluetooth support, and a decent camera (with flash) to the new iPhone's redesign without sacrificing the grander scheme surrounding the App Store, enterprise...

Pros: GREAT coverage. Super fast DATA compaired to ATT. Great customer service. Cool new handsetsCons: Not the cheapest but I guess you have to pay for what you get.Summary: I've tried the others. When Verizon says something you know it is the truth.

Pros: Great phones, and great service.Cons: The cell phones are a little bit on the expensive side, unless you get an upgrade or buy it with a contract.Summary: I've had this service since october of '07.I had bought the enV with my two year contract, and I love it.Now, however it is june of '08 and I feel it is time to upgrade.I am going to purchase the samsung glyde very soon.I get service pretty much everywhere, including my beach house in angola.I have family that has sprint, and they don't get very good service, they also rome alot.I have had blue wireless, and cingular in the past, and so far verizon is my by far favorite.I would deffinitly reccomend verizon wireless to anyone who wants a great phone selection, and awesome service.

Pros: They have the best phones and coverage for my area. The customer service reps are very friendly and helpful. They stand behind their word!Cons: None.Summary: I would most defently recommend this company to everyone. I have been let down in the past from other companys, and this is the first to not. Great service, great phones, great plans.

Pros: Great looking phones. The EnV is a cool device.Cons: -Bad reception where other companies phones flourish. -Customer service was unhelpful, rude and lied to me just to sell me a phone.Summary: Unable to get service just 50 miles south of Abilene, I went to a Verizon store to discuss a fix. The sales associate told me I needed to get an analogue phone to get service. Yet, since analogue was going away in the next couple of months I didn't need a two-year contract. "Don't worry about it." he says. Just come in and we'll take care of it and you won't have to pay early termination, yadda yadda. I believed him, so I bought the phone AND another line to get service where I couldn't before. I go in to terminate the service and change my plan and what happens? Since those terms weren't "In the Notes", they couldn't terminate the plan without an early termination fee. The sales rep ALL but called me a liar and now I'm stuck with a phone line I don't use and their is "nothing" they can do. Poor phone service, extremely poor customer service at the store level. I called into Customer service, explained my situation to the only nice guy that sounded like Fez from the 70's show and he went to talk to his manager. The verdict? they basically said it was my word against his...and I can understand that...if it were a COURT OF LAW. This is a multi-billion dollar franchise that takes a lying sales clerk's arrogant words over an honest customer trying to take the right steps to resolve an issue. I've had issues with their employees before at other stores, but I chalked it up as someone having a bad day; which is something I do as a person, yet shouldn't have to do as a customer in the first place. I was absolutely appalled by the lack of decency a person could have in this situation...and then have the COMPANY back that indecency up? Utterly amazing! I literally couldn't believe what had just transpired. I've been with them for almost 10 years! THAT was an ender! I terminated my service...late fees and all.

Pros: Verizon is an excellent service providerSummary: I have read most of the comments on this site. Most Cons deal with service reps and deal with malfuctions of the cell phone. Service providers don't make the cell phones and naturaly can't service or give warrantees on their performance. When you read the whining on cell phone (radio) performance it's not the service providers responsibility, it's the cell phone manufacturer. I.E. Motorola, Nokia, Samsung etc
I just had this unbelievably nice experience with a Verizon wireless rep.. she agreed to be my personal rep for any further questions of mine. It's true and very convenient that when by chance u end
