Pros: Great coverage - even when out of the Metro area. Superior customer service.
Cons: Expensive if you want all the extras and they do block some bluetooth items.
Summary: Verizon has always had excellent service. If there is a problem, one call to customer service solves it all. The voice rate plans are competitive. I don't use all of the data services. When my previous phone had a manufacturers defect, they replaced it with a better model instore. I have been throughout Wisconsin, Missouri, Indiana, and Michigan and rarely am without coverage. When I was billed for roaming minutes (the phone didn't show roaming), Verizon credited the charge immediately without any pushing on my part. I was encouraged to switch by a friend who has used them for over 10 years and since have had nearly all of my family switch over. Compared with AT&T/Cingular, the service and coverage is far superior (my relatives on AT&T have nothing but problems with coverage and billing issues). Plus, when I call I usually get a local Chicago call center and have never had a rep who was hard to understand or was unhelpful. Plus, unlike AT&T, when asked they will give you the name, number, and address of the regional and corporate offices (AT&T will just give you a PO box).
