Experience with HP 6315

Overall Rating:
4.2 out of 5

Experience: 36 Days
Pros: Tons of connectivity options with Bluetooth; Wi-Fi; Infrared; Phone. Nice design. Good battery life. Huge screen makes reading and using the phone very easy. SD card makes increasing the storage very easy. Digital camera takes okay pictures.

Cons: Suffers from a lot of software and hardware bugs. Has a very high rate of return due to different problems encountered by consumers. External antenna is vulnerable to breakage. Softwares sufferes from problem even after a patch has been released by Tmobile. Support by HP has been so so.

Summary: It is a nice device to have for convergence of technologies. In fact, having so many connectivity options together with a touch screen was probably the most brillant plan by HP. Unfortunately, they have not ironed out the software and hardware bugs before releasing the phone and as a result, the phone suffers from poor consumer perception and has a very high rate of return due to defects and problems.

Pros: Good Features like Wi-Fi, GPRS, Camera, SD Card Expandable, Music Player, Bluetooth, Infrared and What not, you name it and you got it. Its all in one. I sometime use it with Wi-Fi, when the Computer is not available at home, and dont miss the computer.

Cons: Sometimes, it hangs, not often though.

Summary: I have been very happy with this product as I like using the latest Technologies and it has got all the new features, I also use it to Synchronize it with the AvantGO for Directions and its the Best Gadget Ever.

Bad

Overall Rating:
2.7 out of 5
By: Sari Makadia on Sunday, August 13, 2006
From: Bellevue, WA (United States)
Experience: 1 Years
Pros: All in one phone/pda

Cons: drops calls often

Summary: Hp should not make phones as its not their speciality, they should stick with pda's and computers. Their pda's work great but the lack of good reception and dropped calls make it the worst phone I have ever had. I would not recommend it to anyone.
