HTC 8125 Cell Phone
Introduction The New Cingular 8125 is another innovative product from HTC. HTC stands for High Tec Computers Corporation . HTC is a company from Taiwan that specializes in Windows mobile phones. The 8125 is branded by Cingular, so it has “Cingular” written on it, and also has many Cingular exclusive features on it. The 8125 is a quad-band GSM phone that has a 200 Mhz processor, 128Mb Rom and 64Mb of Ram and an external Mini-SD slot that supports up to 2 GB of extra memory. The 8125 also has an excellent QWERTY keyboard that slides out horizontally.
Design The Cingular 8125 has an exceptional design and resembles the HTC Wizard, also known as the T-mobile MDA. Both the phones have a horizontal sliding keyboard, so when the keyboard is out the screen rotates in landscape view. In my opinion the design of the 8125 is a major improvement to the T-Mobile MDA.
The 8125 looks boxier as opposed to the MDA which has a rounded look. The 8125 seems a lot lighter too. Another major improvement between the two is the keyboard. The 8125 has a much better keyboard than the T-Mobile MDA because it is a lot easier to type with. Since the keys are a lot bigger and block style, it makes it much easier to type as opposed to the MDA where the keys are smaller and spaced out from each other.

DisplayThe 8125 supports over 65,000 colors and has a resolution of 320x 240. The display is also touch screen, so it is very easy to navigate using the stylus. The display seems to be very bright and better quality than the T-Mobile MDA. The best part about the 8125 and MDA is that the screen rotates to landscape view as well as portrait. Older phones that were only portrait view were unpractical for many reasons including web browsing; these... EntertainmentWindows Mobile phones are exceptional when it comes to entertainment. You can play real computer like games, listen to music, watch movies, surf the internet and a whole lot more, practically anywhere. People might think it is unpractical to use a phone for these things, but it is more practical then having to carry a laptop, cell phone, PDA organizer and mp3 player!!

Basic FeaturesThe Cingular 8125 has all the features that Windows Mobile 5 has to offer and has all the basic features you need in a phone. You can set up your home screen so that you can see the following: Date, Owner info, messaging, tasks, calendar, pocket MSN etc. You can customize the home screen just the way you like it and have shortcuts for the programs you use the most. Since the 8125 has a lot of vital components inside it, dropping it could potentially damage the phone. The phone seems very durable and built to last, but in my opinion the touch screen is very sensitive on Pocket Pc’s and you have to be careful not damaging it.
ConclusionMany people believe that Windows Mobile Phones are for business... ATLANTA AND REDMOND, WA., JUNE 13, 2006 – Cingular Wireless will offer its business customers access to corporate e-mail via Direct Push Technology, a feature of Microsoft® Windows Mobile® 5.0 with the Messaging and Security Feature Pack (MSFP) upgrade, beginning on June 19, 2006.
The solution initially will be available on two of the hottest wireless devices in the market today: the Cingular 8100 series Pocket PC and Cingular 2125... Summary: i love this phone so much it could probably breat another phone all it needs is just a few more applications but the internet speed is great ( better than a G1 Pros: Everything. I love the touch screen and the slide out keyboard. i really like the square edges opposed to the rounded edges of other PDA's it gives it more of a professional business look and makes me feel important. The internet is very nice, much better than any other PDA. I LOVE IT SO MUCH Cons: You haven't bought it yet! Summary: This is a great PDA best ever. rugged tough durable amazing. SEXY! everything is great! though the only thing i didn't like was the layout so i installed windows mobile 6.1 and put the iPhone theme on it and its great!!!!! A must have phone! I got it for $50 in brand new condition! 2 out of 3 people found this review helpful Pros: Qwerty keyboard, wi-fi, camera that acts as a camera. Cons: Frequent resets, delays in call menus. Summary: The phone seemed great with the reviews that I read. I received the phone and loved it for the first 1-2 months. When I press the button to hang up, there is a delay, and the phone is still connected for 3-4 seconds after I try to hang up. There is also a delay 10-15 seconds going from the after call screen to the home screen. I have had people try to call me, and my phone is on; I never received the call. I would definitly not buy this phone again, even though the phone looks awesome and has great features, there are plenty of other phones with the same features and without the bugs. I think they rushed the phone out before working the kinks out. 45 out of 67 people found this review helpful Pros: i got the phone about 2 weeks ago and it is great. i bought a 1 g memory for which is nice since the internal is only 64mb.the keyboard it awesome because it doesnt take up any uneeded space. a feature that is really good though is the voice dial.unlike many phones where if u dont say the word in the exact same tone it doesnt read, well the 8125 has never not understood me. It is great for road driving because it is hard to dial on the touch screen. Cons: the phone is great besides that it didnt come with a users manual, and although I think I know how to do everything, i wish i had a hard copy to look through if i needed some help but unfortunatley i cant find htc's phone number anywhere so i am lost at what to do... Summary: over alll the phone is great. There isnt a phone right now that i think is better. I do suggest in getting a memory card for it. if you didnt get a manual good luck finding one because i am still looking. I highly recomend it it is user friendly and a lot of fun to have. 53 out of 94 people found this review helpful Pros: Good design WIFI EDGE Access Mobile 2005 EXCELLENT Speaker Phone Loud BlueTooth Stereo Cons: Does NOT support UMTS Summary: If you like PocketPC, then this is the device for you. The battery life is excellent and I believe this device to be better than the Treo 700W. It would be nicer if the phone/device had more internal memory. The camera is very good and the keyboard seems more rugged than the XV6600. It is a SHAME that UMTS is not supported. HTC/Audiovox should have integrated this technology into the phone. Other than that, this is the best PocketPC phone I have ever used. 61 out of 108 people found this review helpful All HTC 8125 user reviewsBuying choicesWith new service This item is not being sold with a service plan by any online merchant.
