HTC Touch Pro2

Overall Rating:
2.2 out of 5
By: Ronald Butt on Monday, October 26, 2009
From: Bronx, NY (United States)
Experience: 30 Days
Pros: Lots of functions. Built pretty sturdily. Both physical and screen works well.

Cons: Clunky. No battery life, dies before completing a days work (7hrs if you work it is all I got). Insufficient memory. Needs to remove battery cover to use SD memory card. Likes to freeze up. Bluetooth works spotty. Slow response. Scrolling and gestures poor. Many functions but no programs to use them.

Summary: Not for heavy use unless you have spare battery or you can keep it plugged in. Jack of all trades but definitely masters none well. If you don't need windows for your job don't get it. Not user friendly.
Needs faster cpu and more memory. Not for everyday use. Display too small. Wouldn't buy again.

Summary: It constantly freeze up. T-mo exchanged my phone twice and all three of them had the same problem. And the funny thing is t-mo tech support told me not to install any third-party software. Than what i am going to do with this powerful phone?

XV 6900 Review

Overall Rating:
3.7 out of 5

From: Vaughn, MT (United States)

Pros: Setting up and adding contacts easy to do, just plug into computer and it automatically updates your contacts and your calender which is also good since you have backup files on phone and computer. Sound quality is great i could listen to music and watch movies all day on it. This phone is really light weight and easy to carry around. Easily customizable and makes this literally your own phone. the screen itself is really durable. I was working and it got dropped straight on a nail and there is

Cons: Phone case cracks easily but you can send the phone in for a new one. When i receive picture messages my phone will often freeze up and I will be forced to turn the phone off then back on to look at the file. The boot up process is really slow compared to most other phones I have owned but this one is also a lot more complicated which may add to the lag. Sometimes if I send a message and one is trying to come in at the same time the messaging feature will lock up so I can access anything else

Summary: Overall I believe this phone is worthwhile getting if you can look past the minor flaws that this phone contains. I would recommend purchasing screen protectors and maybe looking for like a rubber sleeve that can go over the phone so the case doesn't crack so easily.

Pros: Display is great! The apps are terrific and the ease of use. Love the keyboard and the touch screen is very receptive.

Cons: The battery life. That is the only thing I do not like! They need a better battery for this device it is a power-user!

Summary: I am happy with the phone. Hope they come up with a solution to the short battery life.

Terrible, horrible, aweful, stay far far far away

Overall Rating:
4 out of 5
By: Carl Champion Jr. on Sunday, January 25, 2009
From: Jamestown, NC (United States)
Experience: 15 Days
Pros: Display, features

Cons: Battery life, gets very hot, stylus compartment, battery life, Bluetooth, camera, battery life, locks up constantly

Summary: This may be the worst smart phone I have ever seen, the full battery died twice the 2nd day I had it, it is really that bad, the phone gets hot for no reason at all. I had to remove the battery more than 5 times within the first 3 or 4 days I had the phone, I woke up twice to the phone being locked up and I had to remove the battery to restart it. My phone will not beam any files to any other phone via Bluetooth and the feature thats included that takes the phone off sleep mode when you remove the stylus stops working after the first week, all in all, I would give the phone less than 2 stars.

Sprint HTC Touch Pro

Overall Rating:
2.4 out of 5
By: Road Warrior on Tuesday, December 30, 2008
From: Cumming, GA (United States)
Experience: 7 Days
Pros: Looks Cool

Cons: * Horrible battery life and gets very hot.

* Screen is too small to use for WEB surfing, but you can zoom in.
* Very expensive for what you get.
* Not intuitive at all.
* Slow response, Windows 6.1 Mobile problem.

Summary: * Not for business people that just want to get stuff done!

You will waste a lot of time screwing around with this thing just to get it to do what you want it to do.

I am returning this useless toy for either the Treo Palm 755p or a RIM Blackberry.

I WOULDN'T EVEN Touch this Touch

Overall Rating:
2.8 out of 5
By: Jay Chuska on Saturday, December 20, 2008
From: Tucson, AZ (United States)
Experience: 8 Months
Pros: On paper the phone looks kickin'

Cons: On my forth phone - see below.

Summary: The XV6900 is the WORST PHONE EVER. I am so disappointed with HTC and Microsoft for allowing such a crappy product into their line. I am a dedicated windows programmer and have owned pocket pc’s since windows CE so I have a history and an in depth understanding of windows phones.

I have had three phones and am currently being shipped my forth (Verizon won’t swap phone for something else).

1st phone cracked two times on the case. Camera software was all screwed up and would erase pictures and corrupt existing pictures on phone.

2nd phone wouldn’t open email at all –even after hard reset. Main speaker was blown. Half of incoming calls would go directly to missed calls because the phone wouldn’t ring.

3rd phone is currently having a crazy software/ hardware glitches where I am getting debug screens popping up every couple minutes. D Pad doesn’t work. Incoming calls seldom ring, Phone freezes multiple times per day, battery life is less than 8 hours with just email checking and a couple voice calls. Case is also cracking.

I have finally lost faith with HTC and, to a larger degree, Microsoft. What a joke this phone is – what a horrible horrible joke.

By: j borgovonie on Monday, December 01, 2008

Pros: Touch flow 3d saved the phone from dying 3 min after its release. touch flow 3d is amazing! the interface is good and relatively responsive but i kill windows mobile.

Cons: The small screen makes it hard to use the internet browser but u can zoom in.

Summary: Overall i like this phone, its well made, has a very good interface and has a sharp screen. but if you are one with large fingers you will half to do a lot of zooming. so over all this phone is well made feels good in the hand and if i had to rate it i would give it a 4 out of 5.

Not Satisfied

Overall Rating:
2.2 out of 5
By: Myrtle Stewart on Sunday, November 09, 2008
From: Columbia, SC (United States)
Experience: 22 Days
Pros: The length, width, and weight is compact, and heavy enough to feel it on your person making it easy to locate. Front, side, back pocket and the clip ons are comfortable. Secondnly, the option to use a larger print on keyboard and homepage with the time of day.

Cons: 1. Calendar options don't allow the first page to be a monthly view. You have to go to Menue, then View, and then u can choose wether u want daily, weekly or monthly. Too many steps.
2. Phone battery dosen't stay charged long, even with all data comm. in off position.
3. Too many steps to foward a text message. And Still have not been able to foward a text. The option to foward or save a text s/b write there. Its not.
4. Alarm clock only allows three alarms times. when I need FOUR a

Summary: The Touch Diamond is not User Frienly. There are too many steps to go through to get to any one operation. Not recommended for people who enjoy checking there phone for recent updates while driving. Even if your stopped at a red light. At that same red light you may have time to turn the bluetooth on from the device.

HTC Touch Alltel

Overall Rating:
4.3 out of 5
By: Richard Kennedy on Monday, May 12, 2008
From: Lewis, KS (United States)
Experience: 30 Days
Pros: Excellent package and options. Easy to use. Very user friendly

Cons: Battery life only fair. Speaker phone not great

Summary: I am a Financial Director and was looking for a phone to use for work with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. This phone has proven to be a winner for me. I love the main screen which shows me calendar events, messages, and weather instantly. I also love the cube options with my favorite phone #'s with picture capability of the person I need to call. The camera is very good at 2 megpixal. If there is any down side to the phone that I have found it might be the speaker phone. I have used it twice in the office and it cut out and in with static. It could be the office building I am not sure but the ear piece had not static. Also the battery has not lasted to my expectations when the phone is used considerably during the day. It will still certainly last a full day or more but not what I was expecting. All in all I love this phone. I was debating between this and the Blackberry Curve. I stayed away from the Blackberry because of no Office, Messenger, Word, Excel, and Outlook. I highly recommend this phone to anyone. You will love it. The 400hz processor is adequate.

HTC XV6900

Overall Rating:
4 out of 5
By: Gina Schild on Saturday, May 03, 2008
From: Houston, TX (United States)
Experience: 7 Days
Pros: Amall, light weight, compact, LOUD ring, excellent cqll quality & sound

Cons: Only touch screen, hard to use when texting

Summary: Seems to be a good phone. Call quality is amazing, ring tone can be VERY loud which I like. It is hard to get used to the touch only screen but I am trying to adjust. Windows on it is amazing and much easier to set uo than I expected (email). Phone is really user friendly which surprised me. Screen's brightness is adjustable you just have to look for it in settings. It is bright enough to be viewed outside.
ringer is loud, call sound is loud and screen print is large.
The phone is compact but slick - I would recommend a skin of some kind.
So far (1 week) I say thumbs up!
