It figures that a teenager would win the title of fastest texter in the West, right? 13-year-old Morgan Pozgar spelled "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" in 15 seconds on an LG VX-9900 "enV," sans typos, to win the LG National Texting Championships in New York City this past weekend.
Pozgar says she's going to take her $25,000 first place prize and, "go shopping and buy lots of clothes." Excellent. Second place went to 21-year-old Eli Tirosh, who was crowned West Coast...
2007 started off with a lot of phones on display at CES and one more being previewed at MacWorld. But many of the more exciting new handsets, including the LG Shine, Nokia N95 and N76, Apple iPhone, and MobiFlo-powered "TV Phones" from Samsung and LG - won't be shipping for a few more months.
So what's the best mobile you can purchase and use in the US right now? Here's my first Top 5 for 2007:
1. HTC TyTN/Cingular 8525Though it does look that different from the Wizard/8525 it...
It's been almost two months since my first Up and Comers post. Technology moves so quickly, there are more than five new phones I'm itching to get my paws on. But the one at the top of the heap remains the same:
1. Nokia N95Seriously, it's specs and feature set are so far ahead of anything else out there, the N95 still reigns supreme in my Fantasy Phone League. The folks at Nokia List ran a review of a pre-production model, but it seems to have disappeared from the...

Pros: This phone has a great camera with many options! Keyboard is easy to use! Its pretty durable! Nice screens and color choices.Cons: Its a little thick and sometimes freezes up on me. Its not the most reliable phone once you think about it. I like having the full keyboard but you have to have the phone open to use some of the features.Summary: I like my enV but I would like to get a new phone. It has nice size keys that are very easy to type on but the phone is a little thick and I hate the big bump on the back where the camera is. I am on my 2nd one because they had to send me a replacement because my other one stopped working. I guess I am stuck with it until my contract is up next year. But I like the phone. It is pretty durable but scratches easily sometimes. I like having it though!

Pros: This phone is great and very comfortable for texting. It's light, the screens are set up well, I love the ability to have video as screensavers, the navigator is great, etc. etc....Cons: There are only two things that I can think of that I would REALLY like to have on this phone without having to step up to another model: 1. Task feature (storing and checking off tasks) and 2. a simple hook for a lanyard to prevent it from hitting the ground if I drop it.Summary: Over-all its a really nice phone with a lot of convenient features. Just those two small additions, for me, and it would take it over the top!

Pros: Great picture quality, records videos nice too. Easy to use! Overall just well put together.Cons: The only real problem I have with it is not being able to set a sound as a ringtone, the only way you can is if you send it to yourself as a message then save it as a ringtone, but oh well. Other than that the battery life seems a little low before needing a recharge.Summary: Nice pics, nice sound, nice design and easy to use. Overall I like this phone quite a bit it has some nice functions to it and only a couple insignificant flaws.
