LG Lotus-LX600 Purple Cell Phone
Part 2 of Noah's full review of the QWERTY-rific LG Lotus clamshell phone for Sprint. Part 1 of Noah's full review of the LG Lotus QWERTY clamshell for Sprint. Fierce! It's the unique new LG Lotus for Sprint - a square-shaped clamshell with a full QWERTY board inside. GPS, Sprint TV & Music, 2MP Camera, HTML Browser, Mobile IM and Email ... Noah checks out this fashion-forward feature phone. Noah gets Fierce! with the new LG Lotus for Sprint and a one-of-a-kind accessory designed by Christian from Project Runway. Lotus has a unique square design and features a full QWERTY, access to Sprint Music and TV, and two fashion-forward color choices. 1. LG enV Touch - Verizon
The successor to the popular LG Voyager has so much going for it, it really blurs the line between "feature phone" and "smartphone." Featuring a 3.5mm headphone jack, a more responsive touchscreen and nicer UI than Voyager, and Web browser that's arguably better than the ones found on many smartphones, enV Touch just about does it all. If you can live without WiFi and smartphone-style PC syncing, enV Touch brings... And now for something completely different… Christian Siriano and LG partnered up once again to spotlight the Lotus during Fashion Week in New York. Lucky me, I got an up-close look at the designer’s latest on the runway last night — and I have to say, I’m impressed. Last fall, Siriano — erstwhile contestant and last year’s winner of Project Runway — created a scarf with a designated pocket specifically tailored to fit the LG Lotus (which is, by... Pros: Stylish design, tactile QWERTY board, generous widescreen, decent camera, exceptional ease-of-use, CDMA, 3G, EV-DO, GPS, BluetoothCons: Occasionally slow switching between apps/inputting data, no 3.5 mm headset jack, expensiveLadies with an attitude, fellas that are in the mood... Let's get to it.The Lotus, a morsel of deliciousness courtesy of LG, is -- in a word -- sublime. Why, you ask? Because it's easy to use, it works well and it... The LG Lotus utilizes a unique wider form factor that allows for a full QWERTY style keyboard in a clamshell design. Key features include a large 240 x 320 internal display stereo Bluetooth, 2.0 megapixel camera, support for Sprint TV, media player, microSD memory card slot and email/text/IM... Noah gets his hands on two new flip phones with some power under the hood: The BlackBerry Flip 8220 for T-Mobile and the LG Lotus for Sprint. Will your next smartphone be a flip? Also, more on the Android "G2" rumor, and news on tons of new cell phones.
Hey, look what just came! Thanks, Vanessa ;-) Here are some photos of the black LG Lotus for Sprint. The QWERTY board feels GREAT so far, as those bubbled chiclet-style keys make up for the relatively small size of the layout. Sprint's new One Click UI is sort of cool and helpful and sort of overdone; I'll have to play with it more, but I hope it winds up being handier more often than it gets in the way. And I'm... Summary: This phone is probably the best phone you will ever use in your life. It has the nice QWERTY keyboard and the 2.0 megaapixel camera. The internet so far is so awesome you will just die for it!!! The messaging is the best use for the phone. Anyway..... 0 out of 2 people found this review helpful Pros: Qwerty keyboard. Large screen. MP3 shortcut keys. Cons: Nothing! Summary: I reallly like my Lg Lotus. It is soo user friendly. Everything is right at my fingertips. I text like crazy and at the end of the day I at least have 2 battery bars left. :) Pros: Clamshell/QWERTY combination Size Useability Cons: No MS Exchange ActiveSync No VPN capability (evidently) Summary: For me the QWERTY/Clamshell combination is a life-saver. I have no interest in carrying around a shoebox on my belt or in my pocket for the rest of my life. Unfortunately, for me to function in my IT/Infrastructure support role, I need a phone than can SSH into unix systems and talk to an Exchange server/VPN into my company network. In the absence of these tools, all I can do is lament how wonderful life would be if the physical uniqueness of this phone could be leveraged for something more substantial than cronic messagingaholics. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful Pros: Qwerty keyboard Text friendly Big screen User friendly everything u could want!! Cons: None that I can think of so far. Summary: Everything is at your finger tips with this phone. The color is great, the keyboard is easy to use, the feaures are great!! I recommend this phone to anyone that is a big texter. I get compliments just on the color and the cool shape but when they open this baby they get surprised at the qwerty keyboard and the features. 7 out of 9 people found this review helpful All LG Lotus-LX600 Purple user reviewsAnd just to complicate things, the Samsung Exclaim is supposed to be the Rant upgrade... is it even worth considering the Exclaim if I'm not going to use the internet? Putting the sheer awesomeness of a Samsung dual slider on the back burner for a moment... is it the more solid phone? Where does it leave the Lotus?
I really appreciate the advice (obviously, I think about things too much). Thanks everyone! =) I have tested both phones and thought the samsung rant was better. First of all it is a chocolate bar shaped phone with a slide out keyboard. The lotus is like a square shaped phone, and plus for me it was harder to text with. mainly because there wasnt a lot of room for the buttons. How ever with the Rant it has a slide out keyboard, so it gives you more room to move your fingers around. But that is what i think . I am not trying to... I'm looking for the right Sprint non-smart phone, and after doing the research, I've narrowed it down to these two. I like the Lotus for it's form factor clamshell, full qwerty keyboard, and compact build. If I get a slider phone, I'd like it to have a seperate numeric keypad, because I'd rather not wear out the slider just to dial phone numbers (hence the Rant). I use my phone for talking first, texting second, and that's about... Just so you know you actually don't have to convert the mp3 files just rename them with the 3g2 extension. don,
I've done it, and it's a pain in the a _ _. My wife didn't like the stock ringers because they are whimpy, so she wanted me to take one she found on the web, jack up the volume and put it on her phone. Sprint wants you to buy them from their website, so they apparently make it as difficult as possible. On the plus side, the Lotus will read a ringtone from the pictures folder on the sd card, and you can put them... Yes, Lotus is MUCH better it has a better keyboard and the Rant is just heavy to me :D definitely lotus. its got a much better browser, its got a bigger screen for watching videos and it comes with guitar hero 3 mobile. the rant just sucks Is it possible to download a browser on my lotus. On regular webpages I can't scroll to the right to see the whole page. If there is something I'm missing about that could someone tell me. Thank you If you have the song you want on your computer you can convert it to a format that woks for your phone.
Where can you convert it?
go to www.mediaconverter.org
convert it, download it and try to attach it to an e-mail or through a data cable or via micro SD!
Hope this helps, (its my first post here) LG LOUTUS IS THE WAY TO GO.But thats my opinion.
