IntoMobile reported on a story in the Electronic Times quoting an LG rep as saying their VZW flagship handset, the VX10000 Voyager, will be coming to AT&T and Sprint in the US later this year. Considering that the VZW model has sold some 1.1 million units in less than six months, it makes sense that LG would want to milk this cow for all its worth.
The move would necessitate the creation of at least two new variants of the device, since the VX10000 is compatible with VZW's...
Call it the eye of the storm: CES teased us earlier this month with a few new handsets from Sony Ericsson and Motorola (not to mention the official debut of Nokia's N95 8GB US model), and all sorts of sexy new phones should be unveiled at next month's World Mobility Congress (aka 3GSM) in Barcelona. And then there's CTIA Las Vegas, which kicks off on the last day of March.
This break in the action seems like a good time for some Top 5 lists. Here are my picks for the best...
LG has announced that they'll turn up their efforts to market high end phones in emerging markets this year, and that they're all but giving up on the lower end of the handset marketplace. Korea Times reported the story along with the news that the electronics giant launched the Venus-like KF600 handset in Brazil and China.
``We cannot compete with such industry leaders as Nokia and Samsung Electronics with low-priced phones. We have to set our sights on the market with phones worth...
Verizon Wireless issued a firmware update for the LG Voyager (VX10000) that addresses a number of issues and bumps the firmware up to version V05. If you've got a Voyager and want the upgrade, you'll have to schlep down to your nearest VZW store, however, as this does not seem to be a user-installable update.
The update addresses a whole mess of Voyager bugs, which is either terrific or disturbing, depending on your point of view. Voyager's only been available for about a month...

Pros: I got this phone in the beginning of January. Im in Junior High and style is everything. I had just a regular flip phone. I needed something more. The day I saw the Voyager i knew i had to get it. Well anyways. this phone has great picture and video quality. one of the best qwerty keyboards, and biggest. WAY better than the enV. the speakers are great. and the touch screen is fabulous. Cons: The only thing i don't like is on certain photos. You cant put as the front screen, because it isn't big enough. But the phone is huge. its just the length of the photo i guess. idk. Summary: Overall, great phone. wouldnt change a thing.

Pros: Mostly everything on this phone is exellent. The touch screen has not been a huge problem for me. The web browser is excellent!! And the camera is very good and very clear.Cons: Sometimes the phone screen won't come on on the outside. You have to flip it open and back closed before it will come on. Also, the phone sometimes just shuts off for no reason. Other than that, it's a very good phone.Summary: When I first purchased this phone I was afraid of all the problems it might have. I have had my Voyager since the day that they came out and haven't had any real complaints about it. I recommend this phone. It is very expensive but well worth it!!

Dear Patty:
Thanks for writing. Yours is a good, and often-asked question. The nice thing about choice is that there's an option for
I would go with the HTC SMT5800 smartphone - it has a lot more features and doesn't use Verizon's crappy UI.
Have you tried using the Voyager? I played with the phone for about two seconds before

Definitely wait for the Voyager, from what i have read it is going to give the Iphone a run for its money.
The N95 already looks dated - too thick to fit in a pocket comfortably
I would go with the N95 if you need functionality
Go with the Iphone if you like to watch movies - the screen is fantastic and the UI is actually fun to use.
I have no comment on the Voyager, but
I currently have Verizon but would be willing to switch.
I know the Voyager is not out yet, but if anybody has any hard specs on the phone please share.
I like the service I get with Verizon, but I
The Samsung i760 is going to be available for purchase online on the 19th - if anybody really cares now that the Voyager's release is right around the corner
