I headed to NYC to check out T-Mobile's new 3G data network. Doug and I pit the Samsung t819 against AT&T's LG Vu in a Mobile Web speed test. Doug and I run a speed test in Brooklyn: iPhone on EDGE vs Vu on 3G vs t819 on T-Mobile's new 3G network. Noah heads out to Brooklyn, NY and up to Doug's roof to check out AT&T Mobile TV on the LG Vu. This may be the coolest new handset of the year so far. LG's Vu is a touchscreen phone with a 2MP camera, media player, 3G data, and AT&T's new Mobile TV service. I unbox it and give a quick overview. is AT&T's premiere Mobile TV phone, though it also comes in a less
expensive version that's not compatible with the television service.
Both devices are sleek touchscreen phones that offer a nice,
lightweight industrial design complimented by LG's attractive... Q. Thanks for making all the great phone review videos, it really gives me a general idea of what is good and not so good when is comes to the cellular market. I actually work at an AT&T store in WA, and I currently have a dealer line through AT&T but for some idiotic reason they won't let me use the iphone on my dealer line. So what I was wondering is how comparable is the LG Vu to the iphone, when it comes down to general... There's a nice post from the other day on JK On the Run warning smartphone makers to "Wake up and smell the Applesauce." The gist of it is this: It doesn't matter whether or not Geeks find every feature they want in iPhone 3G, because it's so easy to use that people who have no idea what a smartphone is will be using it to surf the Web and check Email on the go. Nokia and Sony Ericsson can keep hardcore phone nerds excited with 8... Apple may have disappointed some phone geeks by leaving a few badly wanted features off of the new iPhone 3G, but in typical Apple fashion they're looking past the specific desires of a few in order to set their sights squarely on luring more of the masses into the Cult of iPhone. Could Apple have added MMS messaging, stereo Bluetooth support, and a decent camera (with flash) to the new iPhone's redesign without sacrificing the grander... According to a recent survey from CNN, mobile TV took the honors of most-wanted feature for consumers on their mobile phones. Have no fear, there are some great options rolling out on the market for those seeking a little portable on-screen entertainment. Check out two picks below from AT&T and Verizon.
In March, Samsung & AT&T announced Access, a candybar handset designed to support AT&T Mobile TV and Video Share video... Wow, you uTubers love to ask questions. So many questions that I've gotta do a Part 1 and Part 2 (at least) of this month's mailbag ... Showtymechef Asks:lg Voyager vs lg vuwitch cell is better i like them both. i think att as more ch to pick from. the att people... Pros: responsive touch screen 2mp cam full html browser mobile tv service Cons: the mobile tv service might not be available depending on your location Summary: great phone easy to use has very good sound quality the tv service is pretty decent only few channels though but sure flo will add more soon 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful Summary: awesome phone i would recommed this phone to any one who is lookin for a very nick sleek phone!!! 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful Pros: Sharp LCD makes the phone fun to use.The touch screen takes a little time to get use to.Love the T9 texting with the one touch of the number keys. You really need to try it.Reception has been strong and sounds very clear where ever I"ve been. Cons: Internet is not great, but thats not what I use my phone for. Summary: I played with the floor model in the ATT store for a long time before deciding to buy this phone. You really must work with it a lot to learn the features but it is worth it. You can find hundreds of user reviews and many expert reviews on this phone as well as video reviews from cnet, phone dog and others. These reviews and the fact that I could get it for 50 bucks after rebate convinced me to buy it. I'am glad I did 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful Pros: For a pressure touch screen, it registers very well. Battery life is somewhat lacking, but I keep bluetooth and anything not needed off, so it is fairly good when on bare minimum. The possibilities with this phone is great, you just need to have good sources. I myself have different themes (Blackberry, iPhone, Slide, Walkman) so this phone never gets too stale. The phone is very overall sturdy, as I have dropped it multiple times while trying to put it in my pocket, with no cosmetic or mechanica Cons: The touchscreen motions are somewhat odd. The scrolling is reverse of most phones. I noticed that if you have a long list on a screen, when you glide, it tends to scroll way to fast. I personally do not like "glossy" phones, as they tend to get dirty quickly because dirt, smudge, and oil likes to cling to things that are shiny. If you didn't sign up for the TV thing, then you also have a pointless antenna (I, however, turned mine into a stylus.) I also do not like the call/call end buttons. Summary: Overall, a sturdy and nice phone. You just have to be patient, give it some time, and do some tweaks here and there in order to customize it and satisfy your phone cravings. LG definately made a winner here. 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful Pros: Easy to use, great touch quality, great camera, and phone is very loud. Love the look and the HUGE screen. Been waiting for this phone for a long time. Cons: You cant touch and drag like on the Samsung Eternity. I would have loved that feature on this phone. Summary: If ya want a great touchscreen phone get this one. The LG VU, it is great for anyone. And if you are worried about the touchscreen and making alot of mistakes, DON"T because you can calibrate it for rhythem, pressure, and accuracy. Overall, the LG VU is a great phone. Thanks. 5 out of 5 people found this review helpful All LG Vu-CU920 user reviewsIt depends on what your needs are. If you are just looking for a media phone I would recommend the LG Vu. Keep in mind that the lg incite has lots of media capability, but is accompanied by windows mobile. For a phone that also helps you organize as well as surf the web better and has wifi for web, not to mention a 3.5mm headphone jack, then it would be wise to get the incite. I am using the incite and couldnt be happier, but you have to decide... so, i am back to looking at AT&T phones and have been looking at the Vu and Eternity, with the ternity come out on top. But i am still looking at the Vu as it is cheaper. I am also looking at the Xenon (did i spell that right??)i have been going though a lot of reviews on it and found that a lot of them are not very positive on the eternity. i was wondering if someone with a eternity could tell me what they think. example, how the touch... would get the eternity, it has a great touchscreen an a rilly good touch screen qwerty keyboard. it has more featurez than u can imagine. if u have unlimited texting the unlimited data plan is just 10.00 /m. and if u are upgrading u can get a refurbised 1 for just 50.00 on att website.
im writing this on my etenitys web browser and rily good keyboard Go with the Pantech Matrix because it is a smart phone, while the Lg Vu is only a feature phone. Of course if you are looking for a phone with live T.V. then your chose would be the LG Vu. I would not buy the vu just because of the t.v. service, my chose would be the Pantech because it is a more sophisticated phone and has better features, and qualities alike. I had the Lg Vu for 4 months, and actually got bored with the phone after 2... its almost time for me to upgrade and i've narrowed it down to these two. i want a fast and easy texting phone, durable and scratch resistent, and games. ive heard good and bad about both phones. if you can help it would be great. thnx If pricing is your concern, you can go through Amazon directly if you are renewing your contract. They will give you the phone + a 2 year extension for $0.01 with no shipping charge. AT&T will charge you $18 for an activation fee and that will show up on your next bill. They currently offer the Eternity, the Xenon and the Impression for $0.01.I just called AMazon and they said if there is anything wrong with the phone itself, you can return... when writing a message in qwerty mode and you hit the ok button when finished dont you wish your message would just send instead of going back to dial pad mode? Well a quick way to avoid that is to hit the CALL softkey and your message will just send instintly.
Also to add free games "you will need a memory card for this" plug your phone up to the computer in mass storage mode then create a folder in your memory card called "Games_Jar" then go... <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/... name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/... type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425"... hey im new to the site but i just happened to find your question. i would definitely go for the ETERNITY. i had the vu since last october up intil march 20-ish, i had 3 vu's in 4 months. i was always getting screen problems with it, there would be a purple mark somewhere on the screen that would annoy me. so recently, after my 3rd one had the same problem, i called at&t and told them my story and they decided since the problem had happened... the os are kinda the same and different at the same time Buying choicesWith new service With pre-paid service This item is not being sold with a pre-paid service service plan by any online merchant.
