The LG Vu CU920 sports a large 3" display perfect for watching live TV via MediaFLo technology. Other key features include a 2.0 megapixel camera with video capture, stereo Bluetooth, expandable memory card slot and a music player with touch controls.
Three hot touchscreen phones - which one's right for you? This is the loooong version of a head to head to head between Instinct, Vu, and iPhone. If you're not up for 15 in-depth minutes, check out the short version for the summary.

This may be the coolest new handset of the year so far. LG's Vu is a touchscreen phone with a 2MP camera, media player, 3G data, and AT&T's new Mobile TV service. I unbox it and give a quick overview.

expensive version that's not compatible with the television service.
Both devices are sleek touchscreen phones that offer a nice,

Q. Thanks for making all the great phone review videos, it really gives me a general idea of what is good and not so good when is comes to the cellular market. I actually work at an AT&T store in WA, and I currently have a dealer line through AT&T but for some idiotic reason they won't let me use the iphone on my dealer line. So what I was wondering is how comparable is the LG Vu to the iphone, when it comes down to general...
There's a nice post from the other day on JK On the Run warning smartphone makers to "Wake up and smell the Applesauce." The gist of it is this: It doesn't matter whether or not Geeks find every feature they want in iPhone 3G, because it's so easy to use that people who have no idea what a smartphone is will be using it to surf the Web and check Email on the go. Nokia and Sony Ericsson can keep hardcore phone nerds excited with 8...
Apple may have disappointed some phone geeks by leaving a few badly wanted features off of the new iPhone 3G, but in typical Apple fashion they're looking past the specific desires of a few in order to set their sights squarely on luring more of the masses into the Cult of iPhone. Could Apple have added MMS messaging, stereo Bluetooth support, and a decent camera (with flash) to the new iPhone's redesign without sacrificing the grander...
According to a recent survey from CNN, mobile TV took the honors of most-wanted feature for consumers on their mobile phones. Have no fear, there are some great options rolling out on the market for those seeking a little portable on-screen entertainment. Check out two picks below from AT&T and Verizon.
In March, Samsung & AT&T announced Access, a candybar handset designed to support AT&T Mobile TV and Video Share video...

Pros: Easy touch screen, great TV signa l, great internet signal, easy to useCons: Bad battery life, no flash on the camera, overpricedSummary: The LG Vu is a great phone for anyone who is new at using phones. It is full touch screen easy to use. But has bad battery life, and does not have flash for the camera. Has a 2.0 megapixel camera that is awesome. but you have to be really sure you want a full touchscreen because it can get boring. I have had mine for 4 months and I am so bored of it and mow i want the LG Venus in pink. Overall this is a great phone besides the few downsides.
By: Alexander B. on Monday, July 14, 2008 From: Baton Rouge, LA (United States) Experience: 2 Weeks
Pros: Great Sleek Look, Small yet comfortable and well built feel, Exceptional Tv.Cons: Not as touch sensitive as I would like, Slightly difficult to scroll.Summary: The new Lg Vu is a great phone. Its easy to figure out how to use, comfortable to hold and looks awesome. I like the camera though I wish it had a 3.2 megapixel instead of a 2.0 though it looks great anyway. Slightly difficult to scroll, you cannot just flick as with the iPhone. I like the video calling it seems to work good. I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone looking for something new and unique; something with its own great qualities yet still having its errors. Overall this phone is very well made with some slight room for upgrade or modification in the future.

With the G1, Linux takes its first starring role in the U.S. cellular handset market. For years, the OS has been the secret foundation of many a phone, gps device, ATM, in-flight movie player, web server, gadget, what have you. As far as much of the American public is concerned, Android represents the birth of Linux, if the collective "they" know that name at all.
Linux has been indispensable in the research of world-class universities, in...
Just a quick bit of fodder for the Android rumor mill. Tech Radar has an Interview with Microsoft's Scott Guthrie regarding the possibility of their Silverlight product, which competes directly with Adobe's Flash, showing up on Android-powered phones. Considering Apple's decision to accommodate neither on the iPhone, Silverlight for Android could really heat up the touch-screen game.
While certainly not an announcement of Microsoft's...

This is an interesting turn of events, if it proves to be true. With all of the speculation about if and when Samsung would bring their Windows Mobile powerhouse, the Omnia, to AT&T, nobody stopped to think about a CDMA version of the device. Nobody, it seems, except Samsung and Verizon Wireless.
According to this rebate form posted on HowardForums and later found on Engadget Mobile, Big Red is prepping a VZW-branded Omnia to...
I'm "at" the Motorola Virtual Press Conference where they're launching the Krave ZN4 for Verizon. No surprise here, as this device was leaked far and wide. But it still sounds pretty interesting - it's a flip phone with a touchscreen and an "interactive flip." Apparently the clear plastic flip cover has touch controls so you can access frequently used functions without opening the device up.
Krave looks like it's going to...
