The LG VX-8500 known as the Chocolate, has a Strawberry Chocolate version as well. The sleek slider design of the 8500 hides the phones touch keys. The device is equipped with features that include a music player, memory card slot, and EV-DO. Other key attributes include stereo Bluetooth, a megapixel camera, QVGA display, and speaker-independent voice control.
It’s that time of the year again when we all try to find that perfect gift for that special someone. With all of the major carriers offering either a new red or pink version of their most popular models a new cell phone may just be a good alternative (or addition) to the standard heart shaped chocolates and two dozen roses that we’ve all come to expect.
Below is a list of the latest cell phone releases geared towards the Valentines Day...
Did you guess the iPhone or maybe the Chocolate by LG? Both would seem likely contenders to take the top spot, but unfortunately they didn’t even make the top three! The infamous Motorola Razr V3, yes the original version out sold all other consumer models to take the top spot for the third quarter. Part of its staying power has to be attributed to the fact most of the carriers offer the V3 for free with new service.
Motorola actually faired...
Reports have surfaced that Verizon will be selling the LG VX8550 music phone staring July 9, at a price of $99 with a two-year service agreement. This reminds-me-of--Chocolate phone is said to be available in black, "blue mint," and "black cherry," and sport a slider form factor with front-mounted music controls. Verizon is also said to be readying a reduced-cost music essentials kit - memory card, Bluetooth headset, and a few other...

Sometimes you just need looks that kill. While none of these mobiles are lacking for features, it's their high style that you'll notice first. And they'll get you noticed, too - for your good taste, not your crazy ringtone.
1. Motorola K1 KRZR - Verizon/Alltel CDMA (K1m) and Unlocked GSM (K1)The successor to the RAZR is taller, curvier, and gentler to the touch. Where the RAZR was all about hard edges, the KRZR's built on...
The LG chocolate phone was made and released for Valentines Day, hence the name Chocolate phone. The phone got very famous quite fast because of the design and futuristic look. Although the LG chocolate phone is more famous, the Samsung E900 is a direct competitor, but which is better for you? Even though the phone is called chocolate, it sure doesn’t taste like it!! The LG chocolate is a slider phone and when open it...

Pros: It's cute, small, and slim with a comfterble feel to it.Cons: The keys are way to small even for my small fingers, and it doesn't do much.Summary: Okay, this was my first phone and i regret it. it is way to small to do anything with and the memory is slow. and battery life sucks.

Pros: it fits in your pocket really well and it's easy to use. It has a perfect size and plays music perfectly through a really small speaker.Cons: You have to keep it charged frequently and it loads kinda slow sometimes.Summary: Overall its a great phone for anyone. If you don't have an iPod you can use this to play your music and awake to it with an alarm! It's truly a well built phone. If anything, you kinda get tired of it after a while, but its still awesome.
By: Meghan Darling on Monday, May 26, 2008 From: tallahassee, FL (United States) Experience: 18 Months
Pros: style and big screenCons: breaks eaisly very flimsySummary: I've had the chocolate for about 18 months and i'm sick of it. I'm switchng to the enV 2, but i slid it up and down to much and it broke into 2 pieces. when i press the back button on the phone it starts dialing #84 the charge adapter where you put it in on the phone, broke off. You can change the sensitivity level of the touch pad but it is still eithr to sensitive or not sensitive enough. When you talk to someone on it your face touches the pad and it will go to different menus. Ths phone has terrible battery life and the speakers are not good at all. the phone isn't easy to use.The phone had good servie when i first got it and i could get service anywhere and after about two or three months it all went down hill. Overall this is terrible phone i would reccomend to not get it

Pros: Easy Use, portable, great multiple function.Cons: Battery life just below average Display malfunctioned after period of time.Summary: The Chocolate is a new elegant look with a sliding keypad that is great. You can listen to music from your computer onto this cell phone. only problems encountered were battery life is not so great, and this is my 2nd chocolate phone because of the same display malfunction. Other than that, I would choose this phone over any Razor or touch screen phone.

The launch of Nokia's flagship, touchscreen and QWERTY N97 has already
sparked the inevitable "iPhone Killer" comparisons. Without getting
all into that, it is worth mentioning that the N97 will pack a whopping
32GB of internal memory backed by a microSD card slot officially
capable of supporting another 16GB of storage when the phone ships
sometime in the first half of next year.
Apple's iPhone 3G currently tops out at 16GB of fixed...
Nokia kicked off Nokia World 2008 early this morning in Barcelona, Spain with the launch of their new flagship mobile phone, the N97. Due in the first half of next year, the N97 is Nokia's first N-Series device with a full QWERTY board, which is combined with a sliding, tilting resistive touchscreen and 32GB of onboard memory.
Looking something like a sleeker, shinier HTC Tilt, the N97 is a GSM phone with HSPA and WiFi connectivity and...
As expected, Nokia dropped a bomb on its faithful at Nokia World in Barcelona early this morning. What was it? The flagship N97 smartphone. Due in the first half of 2009, the N97 looks kind of like a modernized HTC Tilt, with its sliding, tilting touchscreen and hidden QWERTY board. Check out Nokia's promo video of the N97.
Nokia World in Barcelona launched so Noah started this Tuesday episode of GadgetDog Daily with announcements from the show. The Nokia N97 a possible "beast of a device" was unveiled and discussed during this episode along with the announcement of the HTC Shadow 2.
The horribly over-hyped, gimmicky, disappointing, bug-plagued BlackBerry Storm should soon be getting its first dose of badly-needed firmware fixes, according to Greg over at MobileCrunch, and a host of other Internet reports. I still think the Storm would be best off slimming down and losing the silly click-screen mechanism altogether, but if you're digging the SurePress action and just waiting until the lags, crashes, and other kinks get...
Around these parts we spend a lot of time covering an industry that revolves around consumerism. I make no bones about the fact that your interest in buying newer, faster, better, and shinier gadgetry goes a long way to making my gig here at PhoneDog possible. Given that I think it'd be utterly hypocritical for me to write another article decrying America for its greedy, overly-materialistic ways - plenty of other writers have...
There's a countdown timer on Nokia's website that's set to expire at 9:15 CET - that's 12:15 AM, Pacific time - tomorrow morning, December 2nd. The timer will strike zero to coincide with the keynote address at Nokia World, a developer's conference in Barcelona, Spain.Nokia World has traditionally not been a venue for big product announcements from the world's #1 maker of cell phones, but tradition seems set to change as of tomorrow. ...
Just in case you didn't do enough shopping on the good old Interweb at lunchtime today, there are plenty more deals to check out when you get home, like Sprint's CyberMonday giveaways. Props to the carrier for realizing there's very little that beats FREE, especially when it comes to gift-shopping. These deals are offered only for a limited time and are good for new activations and eligible upgrades with, of course, a 2-year contract. Palm...
Hello, and welcome to the first installment of Dr. Photo. I’m Adam and yes, I’m a doctor, but no, I don’t know what that thing on your elbow is… I’m a physical chemist (which is how I get away with calling myself a doctor without ever touching people) and a professional photographer and have been called in by my friends at PhoneDog to take a close look at cell phones from a photographer’s point of view (less so from a chemist’s, although I’m...
