The skinny on the Razr V3c

Overall Rating:
3.2 out of 5
By: David Ruscansky on Thursday, August 24, 2006
From: Watchung, NJ (United States)
Experience: 6 Months
Pros: Light, fits into your pocket easily, generally gets a good signal, voice activated features easy to use and come in handy

Cons: Battery life is terrible, keypad is extremely awkward and takes a long time to get used to. Text messaging with the keypad is difficult and the layout of the buttons often leads to cancelling a message in the middle of typing it. Sending picture messages often takes forever on this phone.

Summary: I wish I could say I was happier with my Razr phone. The battery life on mine is pathetic. It barely lasts a couple of phone calls and even needs to be charged within 24 hours if it's not used at all. It is nice to look at though, and very easy to carry around. Hopefully they'll figure out how to improve battery life and enhance the keypad for easier use on their next slim phone.

Cute But Not Reliable

Overall Rating:
2.2 out of 5
By: Shreyas Patel on Thursday, August 24, 2006
From: Corona, CA (United States)
Experience: 5 Months
Pros: Looks

Cons: Everything Else

Summary: The only good thing I could say about this phone is that it really looks good. The slim frame with the pink cover make is the perfect accessory. Other then that the phone is nothing more then a paper weight (probably to light for that anyways). The phone sound quality cuts in and out all the time, the phone turns off sometimes for no reason and the screen gets covered in finger prints. Motorola needs to improve the software on this phone.

My cute phone

Overall Rating:
3.5 out of 5
By: Di Krohn on Thursday, August 24, 2006
From: Wiggins, MS (United States)
Experience: 12 Days
Pros: Its a nice looking phone. It gets good reception and takes good pictures.

Cons: Buttons!

Summary: I enjoy this phone. I wanted to try it as soon as they came out. I'm glad I did. I take a lot of pics with it and its easy to use, easy to understand. The color is really pretty and people always notice it. I recommend this phone. Really the only "cons" that I can think of, are that the buttons aren't exactly spaced the way I'd like. Though I'm not sure how they'd fix that and keep it so small.

Stylish and compact

Overall Rating:
3.5 out of 5
By: Sharyn Trawick on Wednesday, August 23, 2006
From: Wiggins, MS (United States)
Experience: 20 Days
Pros: VERY cute, very slim. Fits easily into my purse or even pocket.

Cons: I'm not crazy about the buttons. They could be a little easier to use, not so close together, maybe.

Summary: I wanted this phone mainly because I'd heard good things about Razrs.
And, I LOVE pink! Well, I enjoy it very much. I get good reception, and also compliments on how cute it is. People are always asking to see it, and if I like it. I give it a thumbs up. Not perfect, but a good phone.

Don't judge a book by it's cover...

Overall Rating:
2.7 out of 5
By: Quang Tran on Wednesday, August 23, 2006
From: Centreville, VA (United States)
Experience: 68 Days
Pros: Used to be THE most stylish phone and very desired... but now that every kid in the mall and their moms have this phone.. not so much anymore. It is still very stylish and fits anywhere, no complaints there. The phone is also extremely sturdy, I am one of the clumsiest people out there and have dropped this phone on every possible surface and it still works like a charm =D

Cons: Amount of memory on this phone stinks (only about 6 megs), the sound quality is not the best and neither is the signal quality. Camera is pretty much useless but the screen is pretty decent.

Summary: Great phone, no real major complaints but would love it if there was more technology jammed in. Still looks stylish but very played out now.

Cons: Vibrate could be better.

Summary: Great phone, would recomend to friends and family

From: Port Charlotte, FL (United States)
Experience: 30 Days
Pros: nice design

Cons: resets itself constantly, low talk time

Summary: I'm really disapointed in the RAZR V3. It's a real waste. I get short talk time, the battery resets itself constantly, and it's gard to hear people when your talking to them.

Pros: slim and compact big screen

Cons: buttons are too close together and flat

Summary: Razor is nice and compact able to carry in back pocket. Big color screen, but buttons are too close together and flat which makes it a little harder to dial a number without pushing the next number by mistake.

Pros: Small
Dependable
Good camera

Cons: easy to loose

T-Mobile

Overall Rating:
2.3 out of 5
By: J Gree on Tuesday, August 22, 2006
From: Chambersburg, PA (United States)
Experience: 6 Months
Pros: Customer Service is friendly and works with you.

Cons: Service coverage.

Summary: Although T-mobile is known for their customer service, what's the point if you can't call them? I don't get service frequently inside buildings, and only on the second floor of my home. I have also not received voice and text messages, sporadically.

Motorola Razr

Overall Rating:
2.3 out of 5
By: Chris Eschbaugh on Tuesday, August 22, 2006
From: Liberty, MO (United States)
Experience: 3 Months
Pros: Cool color, thin and not bulky.

Cons: poor reception, fading color on screen, some buttons quit working, short battery life, poor voice quality

Summary: I was so excited when I got my RAZR! Finally a phone that reflects my personality! Well, my excitement was short-lived...
The very first thing I noticed was that my new phone often got poor reception while I was driving or even standing in certain areas of my house. This was a problem with this phone only and not my old phone (a Nokia 6010). I did not change carriers when I switched phones so I can't blame my carrier for this.
Another thing was that people often asked me if they were on speaker phone. When I asked them why they would report that I sounded far away or like I was talking into a tin can.
The next thing that happened about 2 weeks after a got the RAZR was that I noticed the colors on the screen beginning to fade. Adjusting the color in the settings did nothing to help. I did not play alot of games or do anything that might make the screen burn out. It just gradually began to do it on its own.
After 2 months, my #5 and #4 buttons began to only function half the time.
And last but not least, the battery did a poor job holding a charge and eventually just died after only 3 months. I used to be able to only have to recharge my old phone everyother day. I don't do an excessive amount of talking, so battery life shouldn't have been a problem. With this phone, I had to charge every night, because if I didn't, I was down to zero bars by 8pm. I called my carrier to complain about this (and the other issues) and they sent me a new battery free of charge. Same problem again, except this time the battery actually died and would not recharge at all.
And for all those wondering and what every cell phone provider will ask... No. I did not drop it, abuse it in any way, or get it wet. My carrier sent me a replacement phone eventually, but I continued to have the same problems so I sent the phone back and got a totally different phone that I am now quite happy with!

I definitely would not recommend this phone. It's a cool looking phone but the joy stops there!

Could be better...

Overall Rating:
4 out of 5
By: Jacob Kunzler on Monday, August 21, 2006
From: Willard, UT (United States)
Experience: 90 Days
Pros: Size, screen brightness.

Cons: Feature set, menus, contact list.

Summary: I received the RAZR for free with a cell plan, and was almost immediately dissapointed. Where the size, shape, and aesthetics were impressive, some of the features were a bit lacking, for example, the contact list: You can only store one number per contact (or it just creates a seperate contact), and there is no ability to add addresses or other information.
