Pros: light thin build, large screen, easy to navigate through screens, great picture taking.Cons: flat keyboard making it tough to text messageSummary: Just got this RAZR phone and have been very very happy with the phone. Previously had the Motorola V635 and this phone is much better.

Pros: Form factor, coolnessCons: Battery life indicator is spotty, reception can be bad (compression noises)Summary: I like the way this phone looks, but some of the cache' has definitely worn off. GSM compression noises on cingular can be quite bad and the lack of an external antenna makes it worse. Also, sometimes I'll have charged it overnight, make a 10 minute phone call, and the battery indicator says the phone is about to die. If I power-cycle it, it returns to a full charge...

Pros: The camera has good focus, it is THE slimmest phone ever, the color is great, the keypad is very easy to use and easy to figure out on the girst use.Cons: the screen resolution and pixels could be better.Summary: The phone is a great device and is great for any1 who has an experience in using phones, also there is a wide variety of colors to choose. So if you want a great fone with an easy to use keypad, this phone is the best for you.

Pros: great color screen, takes awesome pictures with the Camera, Cons: cant think of any!!! thats a good thing!Summary: really thin, fits nicely in my pocket. love the speaker phone function, really helpful especially when driving. i can leave it uncharged for 2 days!

Pros: slim, easy to fit in pocket without huge bulges, camera, video, mp3Cons: delicate, only 5mb memorySummary: The razr v3 is a great quality phone. I haven't had a problem with it since I got it last year. The camera quality is decent, but the video only records for about 10 sec max. The buttons are easy to press, decent sounds and vibrator. The phone is capable of playing mp3s and allows you to set it as your ringtone.

Pros: Great phone, large screen, nice features, very easy to use.Cons: Battery life is the only draw backSummary: The phone is great. It is very customizeable. I love the calendar feature. I use it daily to check my schedule. I purchased additional software to sync to my computer. Other than a short battery life, I love the phone and have no need for an update any time soon.

Pros: SuperbCons: Battery (explained below)Summary: First off its a great phone, it is no way in comparison with NOKIA, but better- no one realizes the difference from the other nokia's i.e. 6010 or event he 6255i- 6010 is old school, hardly any color, no mp3 or video..no ring tones, this is what uses Juice, or battery life, now its a small battery, very slim, not much you can do about that unless u upgrade to the Li-Pol- but unless you know some1- that wont be available for a while. So you see the main reason is Battery, but if you look at all the phones, you see they dont have ALL the features like this Moto- it does alot more and sure it uses alot more battery just Like the Nokia 6255i does. so you subsitute Battery for Cool features.
The Reception can easyily be fixed, if you have an antenna booster for cellphones, its a adhesive peice of metal that sticks to the back of your battery or in your phone, it does work, i know from experience- and again all phones are different, take time and look at the bars, one phone might show 45 individual bars- while Moto shows only 4 bars- its not rocket science its still the same reception- i have the MotoV3 sold that and bought the moto v3ci RAZR-same thing with the last just better- and the phones...they only get better, you jsut subsituting it for something else.. back in the day they were BIG military size cellphones, now they are small and portable.. maybe in 10yrs they will be the same if not smaller or implants, but the battery will be a Watch battery as it is today-

Pros: Sleak design, lightweight and very portable.Cons: Bigger fingers will have to be careful when pushing the buttons.Summary: I decided to update my cell phone from a Motorola V188. I chose the RAZR V3 because I wanted a phone with a little more substance to it than the micro phones on the market today. I was pleasantly surprised when the phone arrived only two days after placing my order. It is light.....really light. But you don't feel like you're going to break it by using it. It feels sturdy when open for a call....the hinge seems like it's good quality. The display provides a vibrant and colorful experience. I have been downloading new wallpapers and ringtones from my own PC to it using a program from Susteen. I did have to provide my own cable for this, but a regular USB with a mini connector is perfect and can be bought just about anywhere. I love the fact that I can charge it from the PC, or the travel charger. The user interface is very nicely done. The buttons are all on one piece of metal that has been etched by acid so that it's backlight can shine through. It is very easy to use and carry. There are several holsters and pouches that you can get for it at a reasonable price. It's speaker is very loud for a cell phone. The MP3's that I put on it for ring tones come through crystal clear. It will hold quite a bit of information....I haven't filled it up yet. Reception is better than any cell I've used and reaches places my old phone from the same service couldn't get to. I like the mini display on the outside of the casing. It's picture isn't the best quality, but for what it is, it's not bad. The camera takes great pictures although the shutter speed leaves something to be desired. All in all, the best phone I've used.
By: James Lin on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 From: White Plains, NY (United States) Experience: 3 Months
Pros: Nice Phone, Great SizeCons: Bad Camera, No features, Slow interface.Summary: I got this phone because I wanted something that was small and a good size to carry around easily. I didn't care about the lack of features because I just use this phone to talk.
By: Roopa RS on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 From: Farmington Hills, MI (United States) Experience: 1 Years
Pros: Stylish, sleek, Cons: FragileSummary: This is a stylish phone. The battery life is also pretty good. The thing I didn't like about the phone is its phone book. Person's name will appeare several times( 1 for cell #, 1 for home....) and it takes lot of time to scroll down the list. Apart from it the phone is pretty good.
By: Lauren Braun on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 From: Morton grove, IL (United States) Experience: 1 Weeks
Pros: easy to hear (good volume), easy to read display, very light weightCons: it is hard to figure out where each setting option is in the menu, the screen gets dirty fastSummary: I am very happy with the RAZR V3. I get better reception than i did with my last phone, plus it is so thin, it fits well in my purse! I would reccommend this phone to people, I already have.
By: John Maloney on Thursday, September 14, 2006 From: McDonough, GA (United States) Experience: 1 Years
Pros: Small, Lightweight, Easy to Use, Bluetooth Capabilities, Backup & Sync capabilities (With Motorola Phone Tools), Mp3 Ringtones, Long Battery LifeCons: Earpeice Volume, Speaker Volume, 'Official' Accessory costSummary: I originally purchased the Motorola V3 Razr to replace a bulky phone with low battery life and to reduce my monthly bill. Moving from Nextel to Cingular proved to be a good decision, as the service has only given me problems once.
The phone, which comes with a Camera, Video Camera, Themes, Skins (though I can't see why Themes and Skins aren't the same...), and Mp3 Ringtones, gives you a lot of choices. The keypad is easy to navigate, and you can customize a majority of the "hotkeys" on it.
Concerns to keep in mind: Protective covering is not part of the phone. If you're in a mechanic shop, or on a construction site, your phone will get dirty. It can cause the screen visibility to deminish, while the phone still works. I find this a bit irritating, but a quick "wipe" fixes the problem. Another issue I've found is that the phone's internal "IM" feature can cause the phone to crash. Of course, there are 3rd Party Java applications that you can use instead, but that's still a drawback for me.

Pros: Big screen, easy to see. Flat, fits into pockets very well Gets better signal than my old MotoCons: Kinda hard to hear, but not too bad.Summary: Lots better than my old moto, but not much software updates from my 2 year old phone.

Pros: good signalCons: too bigSummary: the cell phone works really good in my area of mountains and valleys. i had a different cell that would not work where i live. the cell phone seems light im really afraid that if it drops it will shatter so i wil get a cover for it soon.

The launch of Nokia's flagship, touchscreen and QWERTY N97 has already
sparked the inevitable "iPhone Killer" comparisons. Without getting
all into that, it is worth mentioning that the N97 will pack a whopping
32GB of internal memory backed by a microSD card slot officially
capable of supporting another 16GB of storage when the phone ships
sometime in the first half of next year.
Apple's iPhone 3G currently tops out at 16GB of fixed...
Nokia kicked off Nokia World 2008 early this morning in Barcelona, Spain with the launch of their new flagship mobile phone, the N97. Due in the first half of next year, the N97 is Nokia's first N-Series device with a full QWERTY board, which is combined with a sliding, tilting resistive touchscreen and 32GB of onboard memory.
Looking something like a sleeker, shinier HTC Tilt, the N97 is a GSM phone with HSPA and WiFi connectivity and...
As expected, Nokia dropped a bomb on its faithful at Nokia World in Barcelona early this morning. What was it? The flagship N97 smartphone. Due in the first half of 2009, the N97 looks kind of like a modernized HTC Tilt, with its sliding, tilting touchscreen and hidden QWERTY board. Check out Nokia's promo video of the N97.
Nokia World in Barcelona launched so Noah started this Tuesday episode of GadgetDog Daily with announcements from the show. The Nokia N97 a possible "beast of a device" was unveiled and discussed during this episode along with the announcement of the HTC Shadow 2.
The horribly over-hyped, gimmicky, disappointing, bug-plagued BlackBerry Storm should soon be getting its first dose of badly-needed firmware fixes, according to Greg over at MobileCrunch, and a host of other Internet reports. I still think the Storm would be best off slimming down and losing the silly click-screen mechanism altogether, but if you're digging the SurePress action and just waiting until the lags, crashes, and other kinks get...
Around these parts we spend a lot of time covering an industry that revolves around consumerism. I make no bones about the fact that your interest in buying newer, faster, better, and shinier gadgetry goes a long way to making my gig here at PhoneDog possible. Given that I think it'd be utterly hypocritical for me to write another article decrying America for its greedy, overly-materialistic ways - plenty of other writers have...
There's a countdown timer on Nokia's website that's set to expire at 9:15 CET - that's 12:15 AM, Pacific time - tomorrow morning, December 2nd. The timer will strike zero to coincide with the keynote address at Nokia World, a developer's conference in Barcelona, Spain.Nokia World has traditionally not been a venue for big product announcements from the world's #1 maker of cell phones, but tradition seems set to change as of tomorrow. ...
