Emergency Only!

Overall Rating:
3.8 out of 5
By: Orchid Bowcutt on Wednesday, July 16, 2008
From: Fort Lauderdale, FL (United States)
Experience: 5 Months
Pros: I love the phone. It really has great features and the size is just right.

Cons: I am unable to use my phone after having it for only 5 months. EMERGENCY ONLY shows on screen. I sent it for repair twice and it is still not working. Verizon says is the CHIP on the unit, but it's not willing to change it. I wish I didn't have this problem... I liked the phone when I was able to use it.

Summary: Motorpla SLVR-L7i is a GREAT phone. I can't explain the reason why I am not able to get it fixed. I know people that have the same phone with no problems.

Experience: 6 Months
Pros: The phone is very stylish, small, and loud ring tones

Cons: The middle buttons fall off which makes the phone look very cheap, also the battery and charger are not very good quality

Summary: Over all this is a great phone scratch that perfect phone for about the first 4 mths then things start to go wrong, charger goes bad, then battery, and of course by this time the middle buttons have fallen off. I would not recomend you spend your money on this phone unless you have money to waste!!!!

Great Phone (US Cellular)

Overall Rating:
4.5 out of 5
By: Alan Hagen on Monday, April 14, 2008
From: Susanville, CA (United States)
Experience: 22 Months
Pros: Slim, barely noticeable while in my pocket. Great sound, loud ringtones, easy to use. MP3 player (US Cellular doesn't use iTunes) is easy to use. The screen is a lot bigger than most Motorola Phones.

Cons: The two middle buttons fell off and I had to glue them back on (no biggy). The memory slot is behind the battery.

Summary: I'm really happy with my phone. My contract with my cell phone company is almost up and I really don't want to get a new phone. Recommended highly.

Almost Perfect...

Overall Rating:
4.2 out of 5
By: Jereme Stephens on Friday, December 28, 2007
From: Atlanta, GA (United States)
Experience: 50 Days
Pros: SD card slot, fast and easy menus, VGA camera/30 sec video, mp3 player, and excellent 2.0 bluetooth.

Cons: SD card slot is behind the battery, which is weird, and the microphone is on the side of the phone instead of the usual bottom location, which is also weird and annoying when people can't hear you clearly. Also, the main keys are a little to small, which will be harder for grown men wirh huge thumbs when they try to text with itap. The camera could have had a better resolution as well.

Summary: This phone is VERY stylish with cutting-edge features, but falls a tad short due to convenience. This phone might not be best for people who text on the daily, but what more could you want from a phone that also has web/e-mail/instant messaging capability? Basically, it's an improved razr, candy bar style.

Not happy!

Overall Rating:

By: Jo Segovia on Monday, March 26, 2007
From: La Porte, TX (United States)
Experience: 90 Days
Pros: It is small and slim with a big screen.

Cons: You have to constantly clean the phone cause it absorbs everything. Poor picture quality. The reception is the worst!

Summary: I expected a lot more from Motorola and am so disappointed. I expected this phone to be more like the RZR but it is the complete opposite. The phone has the worst reception!

SLVR L7, nice phone

Overall Rating:
4.2 out of 5
By: J W on Monday, October 09, 2006
From: H, MN (United States)
Experience: 3 Months
Pros: thin, lightweight, mp3, removable memory

Cons: song limit, small phone memory, phonebook could be designed better, wouldn't trust it being dropped too often

Summary: I received this phone due to an error by the carrier and it's been everything I was originally hoping to get and more. While there are a few drawbacks, I think it's a great phone and would recommend it to anyone if they could get the same deal I got.

The SLVR L7

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5
By: Kelly Hanshaw on Friday, September 01, 2006
From: Ashland, KY (United States)
Experience: 11 Months
Pros: Obviously doesn't get water damage that easily, great quality, very sturdy.

Cons: I honestly can not think of anything that I honestly do not like about the phone

Summary: I had this phone for about a week and I left it outside on my back porch and it rained and rained ALL NIGHT LONG! I used my home phone to keep calling it and finally remembered being on the back porch and went back there. It was in a puddle and was SOAKED! I brought it in, at first the ear piece was crackling but i took it apart and let it air dry and it works just fine! I took it to my service providers store and asked them to look at it and they tested it and it fuctioned perfectly, they were in awe! Also, have dropped this phone countless times...it seems more like a Timex than a Motorola becuase it has took a licking and a half!

Worth it

Overall Rating:
4 out of 5
By: John Heberle on Wednesday, August 30, 2006
From: Herdon, VA (United States)
Experience: 7 Days
Pros: Style and size are perfect

Cons: Buttons are a bit close for texting..you can get use to it though over time.

Summary: Been using my phone for a week now and love it. It isn't as easy texting due to the layout of the keypad and size, but the style and size of the phone makes up for anything else. The 512mb microsd isn't big enough, so count on upgrading if using this for your mp3 player as well.

Motorola SLVR L7 review

Overall Rating:
4 out of 5
By: Shikha Kamboj on Monday, August 28, 2006
From: Riverside, CA (United States)
Experience: 30 Days
Pros: Really slim phone that is very stylish, mp3 player, 1.3 megapixel camera, and bluetooth capability.

Cons: Speakerphone volume is a tad too low, the buttons on the keypad do not give a real sense of dialing.

Summary: Overall, this phone is highly recommended. It does take some time to get used to terms of the keypad, but once you get the hang of it the phone is very easy to use. The mp3 player and camera are a great touch to a stylish phone.
