Overall Rating:
4.2 out of 5

From: quincy, MA (United States)
Experience: 5 Months
Pros: Good battery life,
Very good speakerphone performance

Cons: I liked the Motorola V330. But I wouldn't recommend it to hard hearing readers.

Summary: The Motorola v330 weighs .3 oz, which is not very light . It has a good quality built-in speakerphone and a camera (640 x 480 pixels). The battery life is above average. Ringtone and graphics customization is great with download by wireless internet for free. The only problem is the volume in ear phones when i use bluetooth

Great Starter Phone

Overall Rating:
3.5 out of 5
By: Dan Rice on Thursday, August 24, 2006
From: Maplewood, MN (United States)
Experience: 2 Years
Pros: Stylish. Bluetooth. Slick Keypad. Camera is nice.

Cons: Sometimes camera distorts the images. When I shut mine, it leaves scratch marks on the display.

Summary: This is a great phone to start with when you get new service. I have T-Mobile and it works very well. The sound is good, the speakerphone works well, and the camera takes fine pictures. The keypad is a step up from the oblong shapes of the keys on the V300. Overall, I would recommend this phone if your looking for a flip phone.

OK for me

Overall Rating:
4 out of 5
By: Jordan Curnutt on Friday, August 04, 2006
From: Osceola, IA (United States)
Experience: 7 Months
Pros: Nice style, great texture

Cons: Does weird white screen, keys

Summary: I got the phone in December of '05 and had it until July '06. In that time I experienced some awesome things and some horrible things. Goods: The phone had great features, good games, good camera, bluetooth.. And more. Bads: Phone occasionally did something to where it would almost shut itself off whenever it wanted, it would be completely black and in almost dead mode and had to turn it back on and wait like 5 minutes for it to go past a pure white screen. They keys are horrible, they are good for feeling around but whenever the screen is closed and they rub on the screen you get 3-4 scratches on both sides of the screen, not little ones either. All in all.. I really don't think it was worth what I payed for it.

Motorola V330 - I Give Up

Overall Rating:
3.7 out of 5
By: Susan Bellonzi on Monday, June 12, 2006
From: Capistrano Beach, CA (United States)
Experience: 1 Years
Pros: Loved the size, style, and the navy & silver color. The surface texture kept it from sliding off the car seat and my lap. Keypad has raised numbers, so I could dial by touch. Best of all, figuring out how to get the 330 to do what I wanted was intuitive and easy.

Cons: It just keeps malfunctioning.

Summary: I really wanted to like this phone.

Sent the first one back to the manufacturer, but the second was no better. After a year of having to wait for the screen to light up, very faint reception, and static in areas where no one else has a problem, I gave up. When I went to buy a new phone, the rep told me the 330 had been a lemon with lots of problems, and had finally been recalled. I never got any notice to that effect, but I don't need a paper to tell me the phone is more trouble than it's worth.

Great Highend Phone!

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5
By: David Talls on Monday, January 16, 2006
From: Riverton, IL (United States)
Experience: 3 Months
Pros: The v330 is easy to use, has great call quality, durable, fashionable, and is loaded when it comes to features. I really do enjoy having the camera and it takes great pictures. I am able to store a lot of pictures and videos with no problems. (I am at 40 photos and a couple videos and still have half of the memory available!)

Cons: NONE

Summary: In the past I have always gotten just the basic "Free" phone when setting up my cellular phone service. I really didn't care about features or a camera, until I decided to try this phone. I am so glad that I made the switch because the v330 is great.

The v330 is sleek and entertaining

Overall Rating:
4.7 out of 5
By: Rhonda Griffith on Monday, January 16, 2006
From: Tallahassee, FL (United States)
Experience: 6 Months
Pros: I love the design and functionality. It’s blue and vibrant and is just the right size for me. The messaging services with the phone allow for me to send photos, animations, videos, text messages, and voice recordings at any time! Because I can do all of these things with my V330 I use it a lot and have not had any issues with the battery life. I charge it every couple of days for at least six hours and that works just fine.

Cons: I can't come up with anything bad to say about the v330!

Summary: After using this phone for six months, I can honestly say it is the best Motorola phone that I have ever used. When they say this phone has it all, it really does.

    Mini-Review: BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 - T-Mobile

    Mini-Review: BlackBerry 8220

The first ever flip BlackBerry is a winner, so long as you play to its strengths.  While the 8220 is very large for a modern day flip phone, it's lightweight and slick looking enough to trick you into thinking it's a little smaller than it really is.  I've had the 8220 for just under a week now, and I very quickly grew used to carrying it around in my pocket.  No, it's not as thin as a RAZR or as small as a low-end sliderphone,...

Better Signal: Great tips and tricks for Verizon devices

    Better Signal: Verizon

Lane Jensen in Oregon here and I have a great trick that works for all Verizon phones to get better signal. First, you need to be within about a 5-10 mile radius of where you are going to use your phone the most. Secondly, instead of dialing the normal *228 for activation, dial *22899 and it will take you instantly to the programming music and update your phone. No more having to go through the prompt and listening to the same old voice saying,...

    LG Lotus (Sprint) - Photos

Hey, look what just came!  Thanks, Vanessa ;-)  Here are some photos of the black LG Lotus for Sprint.  The QWERTY board feels GREAT so far, as those bubbled chiclet-style keys make up for the relatively small size of the layout.  Sprint's new One Click UI is sort of cool and helpful and sort of overdone; I'll have to play with it more, but I hope it winds up being handier more often than it gets in the way.  And I'm...

Heads-up, phone phans!  Nokia's planned an announcemnet for next Monday, October 13th - and has a viral campaign to hype things up in the meantime - and Motorola's announcing something new and "Clear" (as per their PR campaign) on Tuesday, October 14th.  My bets?  I have no idea what Nokia's gonna drop, but I bet MOTO unveils the Kraze smartphone for Verizon Wireless. First off, how cool is it that HTC dropped some significant cell phone news on the blogosphere via Twitter the other day?  I'm not saying Twitter itself is/isn't cool, but rather that it's neat to see a tech company innovate when it comes to communicating with the media.  Particularly so a tech company that uses the word "Innovation" in their marketing materials.
