The Motorola W230 is a basic candy-bar syle phone that supports MP3 playback as its main feature. Other key features include an expandable memory card slot (microSD  up to 2GB), vibrate alert. SMS, EMS, MMS messaging and a built in FM radio with RDS.

Motorola introduces two new entry level phones
Recently Motorola announced two new entry level phones to be available in Q1 of this year. Both the W230 and W270 share basically identical specifications, but each comes in a different form factor. The W230 variation is a bar style phone with a fairly thin, somewhat compact design allowing the user to easily slip it into a shirt or pants pocket. Next we have the W270 a dual display (inner color, outer mono) clamshell design that sports a dedicated music key for fast access to the music...

Experience: 5 Days
Pros: Expandable memory upto 2GB (microSD card).
Good sound of in-built speaker.
Compact design.
Simple USB 1.1 (optional cable) connectivity with all computers.

Cons: No bluetooth or Infrared.
FM radio is not stereo.
No equaliser in Music player.

Summary: Totally, this is a good phone that's available in this price. If you are looking for a Music-phone with expandable memory, you will cost a minimum of Rs.7000 ( approx. $170 )
But, W230 is at about $75.
It's the good choice at this price!
